United, Chelsea and Arsenal are in pot 1 every year. If you're in pot 1 then you stand a chance of drawing an "easy" group. There are only a few genuine quality sides in pots 3 and 4..

I couldn't care less if United have any easy group or a difficult one, any one of the pot one teams should be able to qualify from their groups. It's when it gets to the knock out stages that the competition gets tasty.

Wayne Rooney: 2007-2012 - 179 games 90 goals = 0.5 goals per game
Rooney also has about 50 assists in all competition in that time. Not bad for a second striker.

How are the 'best' players in the league always foreign? That is opinion and is clearly not unbiased.
Torres has been pathetic for near enough 2 years now and in that time Rooney has scored more goals. For me that is all that matters and right now Rooney is twice the player Torres is.
Also Rooney's game isn't just about scoring goals like Torres' was at Liverpool.
