I was just thinking actually, this guy must have been having a medical for over a week now.

I would love this if it's true, out of all the strikers we've been linked with this is the one that excites me most.

i'm gonna stop believing we are signing everyone, because everytime the deal falls through, i just get a bit upset

not me, maybe because i havent seen as much of him as maynard, waghorn or baldock but even £4.5m turned down is alot to turn down surely? because all i can think of is "danny graham to swansea for £3.5m" therefore above that seems a rip off considering how well he did last 2 years.

Wow this surprised me, last I heard Burnley wanted £7m and wouldn't listen to anything else, I think it was on Solent, but maybe they aren't always right. I don't think I'd be too unhappy if we paid £5m for him, but anything over that is ridiculous really

I reckon we will now ease off, and head back again close to the deadline, potentially Monday. If the bid went to £5m, they could be tempted near the deadline, and if JR admitted his head had been turned it could well happen. Not too sure of spending £5m or more, but on this deal I think I would.

Good point about Danny Graham for £3.5m, looks like Swansea got a bargain. Hopefully wrong because I think we do need to strengthen squad but I can't see us getting anybody now.

i don't understand why everyone is like "£5mil is too much" its not our money and if these signings are going to make our great squad better and add something different then why moan?

Because it is money that OUR club spends, look at West Ham. Sure it wasn't their fans money, but their club is now in an almighty financial mess.

I understand that "doing the lambert walk" but i trust that NC does the math and if then we are able to splash say £5m on a striker then it can only be good. If we end up signing Jayrod for £5m and he bags 10-20 goals and we gain promotion it will be money well spent :)
