Time for a score reversal from the season after our '66 3rd Division champions feat. Ipswich 4 City 5. Abel hattrick, 2 for Wilson.
They make tractors and combine harvesters. That's about it really. If it wasn't for their football club, no one would have heard of them.
I can't imagine why Ipswich isn't swamped by tourists. The White Brick marks an unfortunate event whilst the Odeon (Lloyds Avenue) was being built in 1936. Difficult to see but high up on the west wall (it can be seen from the rear entrance to Debenham’s) is a single white brick standing out from the London commons. This discrete marker indicates the spot from which a bricklayer fell to his death whilst working on the building. It is likely that the Mayflower was built at one of the shipyards on the banks of the Orwell and fitted with masts and sails at Harwich. Her captain, Christopher Jones was a Harwich man and many of the Pilgrims that sailed in 1620 were from Suffolk. The Royal Show was held in Ipswich on the 3rd – 7th July 1934. Many of the visitors to the Royal Show used a special trolley bus service from the Ipswich town centre to the showground. 396,294 passengers were carried by the service. Ipswich is one of the first towns in the UK captured by Vikings. Historians believe that Ipswich was captured by Vikings in 869AD. The first Ipswich newspaper was launched in 1717 and early news stories included tales of butter theft. Orwell Country Park is actually quite new. It was opened by Ipswich Borough Council in 1995. Ipswich once had it’s own barracks on St Matthew's St. The world’s first commercially marketed powered lawnmower was built by Ransomes in Ipswich in 1902.
It is the longest continually occupied town in England. There for a few hundred years before some others were founded. A member of The Hanseatic League when it was really important long before certain other cities. If a City of 260,000 got as high a proportion of its population attending its matches in the Championship they would get crowds of 30,000.
Your'e not going to tell us, I know, but I'm so intrigued as to what happened to you in Hull. It must have been horrific.
Has McGregor recovered?. If not why not let Mannion go in goal. We can't afford another Marshall screw up. Three important points at stake. Every match now is key. Lets put our best 11 on the field to start. McGregor (Mannion). Aina Dawson Mazuch Clarke Bowen Larsson Irvine Wilson Henricksen Hernandez
Not for a very long time, I think the tractors they made was so long ago they were steam powered and their combines were made in the 60's or 70's. Ransomes was the company, more famous for their grass cutting equipment.
We haven't won consecutive games for something stupid like 14 months. That won't change. Adkins to **** around with the team, football to be awful. 2-0 loss.
You can't move for tractors round there, all the way from Grantham down to Ipswich it seems that every other vehicle is a tractor, it's why it takes so bloody long to get there. The whole of Suffolk is like a tractor/pheasant obstacle course.
Hull City @HullCity Supporters who haven’t bought tickets in advance will be able to pay on the night at @Official_ITFC this evening Tickets will be available from turnstiles located on Portman Road from 6.30pm
Really have no idea what will happen tonight, we are so inconsistent it's impossible to say which team will turn up. Will be happy with a draw. Would go for the same team as Saturday except for McGregor back in goal, and Dicko for Hernandez, Hernandez to come on at 60 minutes and grab the winning.
