I'm ordinarily not easily outraged and, weirdly, quite like Carragher so I thought it must be out of character and that this idea people should get sacked and lose their livelihoods for a first offence because the British press are outraged on our behalf isn't something I go along with.

Agree on just about every point ... unless there is some very severe personal insults thrown in by the guy prior to the gobbing, then there is absolutely no basis for that reaction ... if my kid nephews had done that I'd have been mortified ... never mind a grown man FFS

Well it wouldn't be the first time you lot have defended the indefensible, because he's one of your own. What Suarez did was probably worse and most of you defended that.
But fair play if your not all out defending Carragher, but I know some are.
I know Carragher is very emotionally involved with Liverpool, despite being an Evertoninan. But the wumming from the guy was pretty tame in all honesty.
Yeah he was stupid driving his car and using the phone, but to resort to spitting on him, is quite honestly disgusting.
I'm not overly bothered either way if Carragher loses his job or not, I just think it's a certainty that he will. There is no way Sky will tolerate that type of thing.
