Can't understand how Gao is sitting back and watching his investment go down the toilet.

If we go down he won't lose that much if he pockets the VVD money and sells off a lot of the team (which would happen anyway if he went down). Throw in the parachute money and it wouldn't be too hard to get £200m back. If you believe in the conspiracy theories that the main reason he bought the club was to do with property and developing the ground that came with the club then relegation wouldn't be a total disaster for him.

Of course he would prefer us to stay up and stay on the PL gravy train but relegation doesn't **** him over as much as people think if he chooses to go down the route above

Better than Newcastle, Huddersfield, Swansea, West Brom, Brighton, Bournemouth etc. Not as good as previous teams but still a mid table squad.

Not in my opinion. You say we’re better than Newcastle? I say Shelvey is miles better than anyone else on the pitch and they have three or four other better players as well.

TBF, I do not think we are worse than the teams that surround us either. Certainly a better manager could have given us the edge amongst a group of 7-8 teams to lift us into mid-table. Pellegrino is by no means blameless, he’s just not the sole problem. Everything is kinda crap right now.
