A bit quiet on here and with one or two on the missing list (Col? Stan?), so perhaps a bit of light-hearted relief might be in order. There's a thoroughly depressing McDonald's ad on TV at the moment about the 50 year anniversary of the Big Mac (as if that was something to be celebrated!). It made me realise with some pride that I've never sampled the delights of said comestible. So the thing is, what are the 10 things that you have happily never done that everyone else seems to have done? Here's my effort... Never had a Big Mac Never read Harry Potter Never had a Costa Never seen Sound of Music Never been to Scotland Never eaten Sushi Never driven a car Never read 50 Shades Never watched a Superhero film Never voted Tory Go on so.
Fairly similar ... I might eat a McDonalds once or twice a year Never read or seen Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean Never had a Costa or use any coffee chain shop Never seen Sound of Music Never been to Scotland ( closest I've been is Carlisle, every game home and away 82/83 season 0-1 defeat. ) Never read 50 Shades I don't think I'll ever vote again. I dislike (almost) all politicians. Never watched 'Dad's Army' Never watched 'The Good Life' or any similar shows although I do know the wife of Ian La Frenais who co-wrote a lot of these shows ( I don't really watch much TV in general other than sports and films or some very selective viewing ) Never watched Star Trek Never watched Dr Who Never watched Star Wars Never been to Goodison Park Never been to either of Man City's grounds Never driven a car ... I find that quite bizarre/amazing !
Col's taking a break as he is rehearsing for the lead role in a production of Les Mis. I think Stan is deliberately standing off as he doesn't possess a porsche like DT and is somewhat envious. Failing that he probably got pushed into a canal in Holland and has since failed to materialise.
Hmmm. Never been arrested. Never smoked a cigarette. Never done a bungee jump. Never been to India. Never had fatal car crash. Never flew in Concorde- wish I'd done one of those Iceland trips. Never flown anything other than economy. Never failed to vote in an election. Never been to an opera. Never eaten at The Ivy, Gavroche etc. Interesting theme. Lots of 'never done' but few regrets.
Interesting theme, some is like to do; some I’m surprised I haven’t done! Never been to a Grand Prix Never ridden a horse Never been waxed (anywhere!) Never been to Africa Never visited a Royal residence Never eaten Frogs legs Never been to Ireland! Never walked on stilts (or water, though I think Stan Bowles did a few times) Never been a millionaire Never been in a cruise Never been to the Olympics (to watch or compete)
I’ll do ten. The first 5 I’ve never done and never intend to; the second 5 I’ve never done but would like to... 1) Vote Labour or Green 2) Have gay sex 3) Take Class A drugs 4) Buy a copy of The Big Issue (no problem with the idea or cause, just find the manner in which they’re sold annoying) 5) Been on a skiing holiday (I have the balance of Heather Mills when Dutch Elm’s in town) 6) Have a threesome (two laydees, of course) 7) Have a ride in a helicopter 8) Visit Ireland, Canada and the Caribbean 9) Sell a certain something that I own that would put me on a far more comfortable financial footing and enable my life to become more ‘want to’ than ‘have to’. 10) Experience the sensation of weightlessness
Never been to turkey Never been on a safari Never eaten duck Never been surfing Never been to costa’s Never seen top gear(can’t stand clarkson) Never read a Harry Potter book Never had a car accident Never been to prison Never shagged liz Hurley(you can dream)
I don't consider it strange, but a lot of people seem to. Some seem to get quite annoyed about it, which really is bizarre.
Never been to a show. Never been to a pantomime . Never been to Glastonbury (I lose interest when people say that it's about more than just the music - I just want the music). Never watched Game of Thrones. Never read Harry Potter. Never read 50 shaded of grey. Never been to Wales. Never been to a strip club. Never been on a beech holiday. Never done a parachute jump.
I think it's easier to not have a car if you never have had one. I had two lessons off a mate about 10 years ago. The main benefit was having the provisional driving licence for those occasions when I got ID'd.
Never been on a cruise holiday Never been on Facebook Never watched X Factor Never been to an opera Never watched The Wire Never ridden a motorbike, either as driver or pillion passenger Never read 50 Shades (although wife has) Never been to Grimsby Never met another QPR fan in Scotland Never hosted a dinner paty
Good thread Strolls. Never watched a Grand Prix Never read a Dan Brown book Never been to Madam Toussauds Never heard Jamie Carragher say anything and thought "that's a good point" Never gone skiing Never been to Nandos Never owned a pet Never watched peaky blinders Never driven a car Never had a beer with a Liverpool fan.
