Trains leave Euston at 8.10, 8.45 and 9.45. Getting to Euston from Soton might be a struggle though - there's often engineering works on that line on a Sunday.
I was at the Dell to see the Speedie / Dixon partnership for Saints on their joint debut against Tottenham at the Dell on August 15 1992 which was also the first ever premier league fixture at the Dell and anywhere else for that matter. Finished 0-0 and it could have gone on for 5 hours and stil finished 0-0 I recall. Lets just say they werent as good as they were for Chelsea BUT we almost won the game
Train from Euston is £57.................. should I stay or should I go. Would have to get a ticket on Monday if any left
Think I might be sorted now cheers! The offer would have started at a pint and then we would have haggled
Haven't decided yet mate. Probably will though, train is cheaper for me. Just need to check those engineering works. You driving up? Might not be too bad on a Sunday.
Not sure mate, don't really trust my car to make it that far tbh, London is fine if I get stuck, Wigan less so. Trying to find someone else who drives and wants a ticket. Long trip for there and back in a day though.
No worries mate cheers for thinking though. I'd still have to get to Northampton anyway What block did you get in the end? Obviously I don't know my plans yet but depending on what everyone's doing we could arrange a not606 meet up there.
You will definitely get a ticket mate, I reckon it will probably make general tbh and wouldn’t be surprised if it didn't sell out (which would be a pretty poor effort imo). Like I say it depends on my plans as I'm not sure what I'm doing yet but I'd definitely be up for it circumstances permitting I imagine @Archers Road probably would be too.
Block 5, two thirds back. Slight change possibly now. I may be going up on the train with wife driving up later in the morning. I’ll be going to the ground with father and brother in law (he’s a Leeds fan and in with us for the day!!). Not sure where away fans drink. There used to be a fish n chips restaurant right outside he away end, but it’s shut now. Shame as it was bloody good. The ground is just off a retail park and I can’t remember what else is there drink wise... maybe a frankie and Benny’s by the cinema.
Ticket update: Block 1: two thirds free Block 2: one third free Block 3: sold out Block 4: sold out Block 5: one seat left Block 6: one quarter free Block 7: two thirds free Middle blocks - 3, 4 and 5 basically full bar one seat! then 2 and 6 are selling up with 1 and 7 on the ends still quite free. I'm expecting this to pretty much sell out now despite the weekend result.
