Good day gents, no point moaning about the lack of quality, lets just get on with it!

Can't believe Lake Volta is 16-1 in a 6 runner race at Lingers, and can't go unbacked, although the trainer's other runner has chances too. In the opener I like Towerlands Park, as does Aurora I see - good luck fella! And along with FP, I can see Boom The Groom running a big race. Attain in the 2.20 complete's my telly picks.

At Newcastle, my selection from yesterday - Nautical Nitwit - goes again, although 3rd of 4, he was close up, and well worth another punt at 3-1. In the 3.50 William Of Orange gets the nod.

Martin Harley <doh> I try not to criticise jockeys - they can ALL ride better than me - but he took such a huge tug on Towerlands from the stalls the horse must have thought it was a false start!

Edit: just watched it again and maybe it was the horse <laugh>

Just watching the itv Cheltenham preview and am beginning to think north hill Harvey is a shoe in for the arkle. His course form is so impressive and the skeltons old man will make sure he's the best jumper in the race. We are not going to get good ground but I think he will go on anything.
 
Simon Claisse this morning was saying that where the Cheltenham snow had been moved the ground was good in places, so it may not be a given that it will be soft for the Festival.

I have Attained a winner!! On the flat. On the all-weather .......... That may call for a beer. Two if Boom The Groom obliges :)

Cracking finish at Newc between Western Rules and Nautical Nitwit. and my stream quit as they went across the line ..... who got it?
 
Woohoo! Thanks Chan :) It was his second race in two days and puts up a battling performance like that! Hope he gets a well deserved rest now!
