At the New Wembley last night for the Sperz-Rochdale FAC5 replay.

Not sure how many the Dale took down but probably at least 2k?

Shockingly low gate for a game at Wembley involving a London-based Top5 club.

I'm not having the 'transport difficulties' excuse as this was counteracted by the tourists.

(Actually maybe that's why Norwich pull good crowds, given their impressive tourist visitor stats?)

It's about 50 000 down on the normal Sperz Wembley gate.

The fact that lil ol' Norwupich get bigger crowds than us bugs you, doesn't it?

Just been reading an article about number of pubs relative to population in various places. Scarborough was up at the top. As was Norwich. How many pubs are there in Hull, googled it but can't find anything?
To equate to the number in Norwich per head of population there would have to be around 500.

I'm sure Burton on Trent must rank very highly on that, there's a pub every other building. Sometimes they're just next door to each other.

You really like Norwich don’t you.

Spent the morning mooching around when we played there in October. Interesting place. I now regret not also conducted a tourist footfall survey.

Only ever been to football there. But as I said in another post, I know someone whose son has set a business up there and he was quite impressed with it, as is his son. Not everyone thinks everywhere else is a dump compared to Hull and that it is so dead that is the reason with a smaller population they get larger crowds.

That officially reported attendance is too low. There were another 20,000 + lining up in the concourse for a turn on the VAR equipment.

I whatsapp'd a mate last night during the game, he's a Spurs season ticket holder of 30+ years and his comment when I asked if he was at Wembley and was he cold was "You must be joking, I support Spurs but a midweek replay against Rochdale on the box?! And don't get me started on VAR, what a joke."

That probably sums up the situation leading to the attendance.
