All the teams involved should be wary of all their rivals, its the premier competition in Europe and anybody who takes anything for granted is a fool.
haven't been on much the last 2 weeks mate, i lost my enthusiasm for the place ive been on gc the past couple of days though. hows things? quality result for you against le' arse!!
No group in the CL is easy. Thank **** SAF and the lads wont be thinking that way. Each game will be the toughest game yet until we have already qualified. Then we will take it easy.
I don't see why Chelsea fans are trying to point score, because we got an easier group, I don't get it, are you trying to suggest the draw was fixed, to give United an easy group? Get real. End of the day Chelsea fans can point score in there own pathetic little way, but on the pitch we played Chelsea 5 times last season, and won 4 of them, including beating you home and away in the CL quarters. We are the best side in England, and the 2nd best team in world football, no doubt about that. Chelsea have hardly got the most difficult of draws, of the seeds Real Madrid got the group of death, with Lyon, Ajax and Zagreb all being strong sides. And Bayern Munich also got a tougher group than Chelsea. If Chelsea fans are so worried about the likes of Bayern Leverkusen, Genk, and a depleted Valencia, then I realy do feel sorry for the state of your football club. Any top European side should piss that group
Should also be pointed out that 2 of the teams in Chelsea's group have lost their best players (or are in the process of doing so in Genk's case) - to Chelsea!!!
Fair point - its one way to win your group!! We also bought Genk's keeper and loaned him out to Atletico. Weird group for us this year, lots of links with the Ballack thing as well. Look, some groups appear easier than others on paper blah blah but if you are top 8 seed you should always qualify. The real comp starts in Feb.
Very true. There's no doubt that we've got the easiest group but I still expect all English teams to go through. United and Chelsea will both win their groups, of that I have little doubt. Trickier for Arsenal and City but I'd still expect them to both come through with at least one of them to win their groups.
Also, on the thing about links to former clubs, I thought it was funny when they tried to make a connection between City and Napoli. Aguero's father in law Maradona used to play for Napoli. I really think that's a tenuous link to bring up right there.
We have never said that we are worried about our group... we all think we will qualify but it is on paper a tougher group than yours... Also what has you lot being 'bes in england' and 'top 2 in world footaball' got to do with a champions league draw? And lastly, none of us have actually said that the groups were fixed so I dont know where you got that idea from... At the end of the day, we should all qualify from our groups... All 4 english clubs are some of the best teams in the world at the moment (man city yet to prove that though in europe) and we should all qualify... it starts to get interesting when the group stage has finished
