Stick what are your thoughts on that bumper at Exeter? With three previous winners carrying a penalty it looks a fairly tasty race but might we see a shock winner in Unwin Vic? Connections paid a fair bit for the unraced 4YO filly and she comes from a decent family. With her sex allowance, age allowance and the riders 7lbs I think she might be worth an e/w poke at 25/1.

Quite a nice pedigree for this GELDING odddy and the sales price shot up from 11,000 as a foal to 47,000 as a 3yo. The dam was unraced and this is her first foal so not much to go on. The dam is well related though and the sire is producing his fair share of bumper winners. It was nibbled at last night so connections must like him a bit. The negative for me is the yards record in bumpers. You know as well as I do that a number of yard excel in this sphere and some are frankly hopeless. This yard is in the latter category.
I would be surprised if the winner doesn't come from one of the three carrying a penalty and the one I like the most is FONSANTA. Kicked myself when I missed it on debut! At bigger prices I thought LOUD AS LIONS was overpriced for EW purposes at 40/1.

I bet Fontsanta last night. I hope he wins. The French horse can be anything.

Morning, crew. If you want a good chuckle have a look at the front page of the current edition of ‘Private Eye’. I must confess that I loudly guffawed at the railway station for a good 30 seconds earlier this morn.

My mole at The Met (Office not –roplitan Police) assures me that over the next few days we are sure to get some abandonments. On this subject I see the ‘Avebury Stone Circle’ has just been closed ‘for a few weeks’ due to waterlogging. Cor bally blinkin’ blimey how is the county supposed to function!

Nothing for me today but tomorrow at Kempton, if most stand their ground, looks potentially corking.

Good luck, team.

Doctor Bartolo 2.25 Warwick. 13/8.
Knockanrawley. 4.50 Exeter. 15/2.

My two darts for the day.
Will have a decent win bet on the Doctor, did me a favour once when with Charlie Hills and hope he can reproduce the dose today! Got the other King horse to beat on the book, but I'm not keen on backing imports 1st time up. I always think they need a bit of time to acclamitize. So we know what wins that then!!

The Bailey steed likes a slog and might run well after a short break I 1st time visor.

Remember being in Boogie Street in Singapore as a 16 year old galley boy. Had a dolly bird sitting on my knee massaging my bits. I was in seventh heaven until the bosun ambled over and mentioned the adam's apple. I was mortified when the implication sank in. Can't remember what happened next though<whistle>

Funny thing is, after all the radiotherapy on my larynx (adam's apple) mine has sunk somewhat.
I'm wondering about a career change?!!!<diva><diva><diva>:emoticon-0125-mmm::emoticon-0125-mmm::emoticon-0125-mmm::emoticon-0142-happy:emoticon-0142-happy:emoticon-0142-happy:emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

Fonsanta beat that Moore horse you fancied, j Scott one finished second, and again last time out, Emma bumper runners haven't shown much this last three weeks so would temper my enthusiasm,, good luck though!

Bugis Street, aye the dance of the flaming arseholes <cool>

Looking to kick the day off on the right note again and the horse for the job is surely;

MOTUEKA 13/2 Exeter 2:00

Went in my tracker on seasonal debut when just touched off by Landin. I thought compensation was just around the corner but his two runs since have been less than spectacular. He is now in a handicap though and off a mark of 116, the aforementioned Landin is worth 124 so I reckon if Motueka runs up to his form he is around 8lbs well in.
The other big factor for me is that Dickie Johnson has been absent for his last two runs and this tricky character is likely to go better for the master horseman.
I cannot see the 13/2 being around for long as he is up at 4's in other places and a best 5/1 with proper bookies.

Awful
