Really cool people don't make 30 in the music industry.
Bowie seemed to manage it rather well

To be fair, Bowie might be the only one.
Prince maybe.

Try telling Mick shagger that
Don't forget Cliff Richard.
There's probably loads tbf.
Jagger's not one of them though IMO.
Try telling Mick shagger that
Cliff is the coolest one of all.
I mean, just listen to Wired for Sound...
Or Laughing Gnome.
Bowie's greatest moment, of course.
Remember kids out there - if you want to be considered cool for the rest of time, die at 27.![]()

Not long to go then.![]()
Bowie's greatest moment, of course.
About 1973 time I used to work with a lass who was a massive Bowie fan. She could have been the original Space Cadet. She used to sit there going on about how each Bowie song was like he was talking to her and giving her a message. I asked her what the message was in Laughing Gnome and she was most unamused.

Everyone does incredibly stupid things when they're young, Bowie just decided to release that monstrosity![]()
He wanted to be the next Antony Newley. That was his equivalent of Strawberry Fair. If it had been a big success he might have gone down a different path. Bowie was like a chameleon constantly changing. Hard to say whichnof his differrnt persona he took seriously.
Beating up women is cool??? HmmmJagger stopped being cool before he reached 30. The coolest Stone popped his clogs at 27.
