Meh. Should be a regulation 4 nowt for us, but that seems a dim and distant memory and aspiration. All I have is, smoggy ****s.
O/T but just saw this pic in the Mail. How much would this strike force cost today? Cloughy scored 251 goals in 274 games. Greavesy scored 422 goals in 602 games please log in to view this image
To put how good Greaves was in perspective his record for goals scored in the top 5 European leagues was only overtaken last year by Ronaldo.
****ty stats MATCH FACTS Middlesbrough have won eight of their last nine home league matches against Hull, drawing the other in November 2010 (2-2). The Tigers have never won at the Riverside in a league game (P6 W0 D1 L5), last winning away at Boro at Ayresome Park in March 1986. Tony Pulis has only ended on the losing side in one of his last 12 league meetings against Hull (W6 D5), a 2-1 defeat in November 2009. Hull will be looking to win consecutive league games for the first time since April 2017, when they did so against West Ham and Middlesbrough in the Premier League.
The great shame with greavesy etc is there's very little of their goals to be seen. Funny every time I write greavesy it changes to greatest. Apt.
True. Once saw Best pull off one of the best bits of skill I have ever seen but no cameras there. Although no cameras meant things got better as time went by and with each retelling, whereas now things are analysed that much and.repeated that often they can lose their magic.
Read Greavie's biography years ago which included a really honest telling of his descent into alcoholism and subsequent recovery. Have nowt but admiration for the man. He suffers from ill-health these days having had a debilitating stroke a couple of years ago and is wheel chair bound. Good luck to him.
remember watching Saint and Greavsie on boat race day, Saint said I’m going for Oxford, Greavsie replied you don’t leave much choice then but funny old game the boat race when the winners dip their cocks in the water
What we off for? Alan Aina Dawson McDonald Clark Meyler Irvine Stewart Toral Keane Grosicki I’d rather Stewart not play. With the right wingers pace I’d be tempted to play Aina at left back Tamori right back, and even put Clark in midfield for the horrendos Stewart?

Spotlight on Hull City: An 'unhappy club' and air of negativity Tigers can't shake off The lowdown on tonight's visitors, who head for the Riverside just a point and a place above the Championship relegation zone https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/spotlight-hull-city-unhappy-club-14308665
TEAM NEWS AHEAD OF MIDDLESBROUGH TRIP Kamil Grosicki is in line to make a return to action when the Tigers take on Middlesbrough on Tuesday night. The Polish winger was fit enough for a place on the bench for the FA Cup tie with Chelsea last Friday and he will now hope to be considered for a first league appearance since the end of January after recovering from a foot problem. Head Coach Nigel Adkins also has options at centre back after Michael Dawson returned from injury at Stamford Bridge, with Michael Hector also available again after being ineligible to face his parent club. Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori add to the defensive options as the Chelsea loanees return along with Hector. There are, however, doubts surrounding Harry Wilson and Jarrod Bowen. Wilson (pictured) damaged his shoulder when winning a second half penalty against Chelsea, while Bowen missed the cup tie with a damaged hamstring. Moses Odubajo and James Weir remain unavailable, while it’s likely to be too soon for Abel Hernandez to be considered after he completed 55 minutes for the Tigers’ U23s on Monday afternoon. Stephen Kingsley is also unlikely to be involved, while Seb Larsson serves the second of a two-game ban.
Based on Adkins comments, I think Bowen is more than doubtful... “It’s a big worry. He didn’t train through the week and he’s pulled out of training on Wednesday. He’s had a scan and he’s got some damage to his hamstring. We’ll have to see how it goes. Hopefully we haven’t stressed the injury too much but as it stands he’s not playing Tuesday.”
