I see it the other way. If a fan gets mouthy why should the player put up with it? Smack the ****. I'm fully aware of how wrong I am though.
You can't really ban the fan, or you have to ban all the fans for running on the pitch. The fan didn't physically provoke Aguero, and nobody knows what was actually said to provoke that type of reaction from Aguero. If he's made a personal remark, then that's fair enough, but it may well have just been abit of football banter, which I don't see as being worthy of a ban.
I’ve done this one before. A mate of mine was at the game and very close to where it all happened. The guy involved was a well known general gobshite. He ran down, screamed at Cantona, “Go on, **** off back to France, you French ****” and tried to gob at him. The rest you know.
Zero class at all that man. Despite the fact I'm glad to be playing Wigan that has made my night seeing him lose his ****.
He squared upto him didn't he and aimed a punch back? Very surprised if Wigan don't ban him. City could be in trouble for the crowd problems at the end of the game too.
I didn't really see it all to be honest, so maybe there was more to it. I just seen Aguero swinging at him.
From the City forum: "Sané, Aguero, Ilkay were shocking. The team selection suggests to me that Pep wasn't too arsed and I can't blame him. When everyone, including the referee, is desperate to see you lose, the competition doesn't deserve a team as good as ours."
Honestly speaking though, I think I would have been annoyed if that red card was given against us. It was one of those challenges that's inbetween a yellow and red. Yeah it was reckless but it was one footed, and wasn't what I'd call a dangerous challenge.
Not on here. @Paulpowersleftfoot is their only supporter on here I think, from their bluemoon forum. Did you go tonight Paul? What caused all that trouble at the end and what allocation did you get?
...actually did wonder whether it might work ... he'd already put a fair effort into the side netting ... but didn't really think they could actually win it ... fair play to them
