This is where Lambo earns his money, our worst defeat since he took charge last night and Megamoney Chelsea on Saturday........... The boys obviously had one eye on that game as well as massive hurt from the Stoke mess. We can get a draw against Chelsea so long as we dive ,cheat, waste time and con the ref at the bridge. We need to play like our lives depended on it and get in their faces . We are massive underdogs against Chelsea but we need to put in a huge performance to keep Sir Paul Lamberts amazing record going.....OTBC BELIEVE
Agree with most except the cheat part. Dont think we need to scrape to those levels, but if the two in a row record is still intact come Sat night, it will have been one hell of a game at the Bridge, & I will have witnessed it ! OTBC
The refereeing from our last 2 games showed us what to expect...... The top teams players go down quicker than a whores draws
Think you'll find it's Two in a row in all competitions in the same season. But im sure some-one will correct me.
I undertstand it to be consecutive league games too, although we've not lost consecutive games in all competitions in a single season either!
As I understand it, we lost our very last game in league 1, then lost our first friendly the following pre-season!
True Dave (I think), but are they the same season? Perhaps we need to insert 'competitive games'? Any one else get the feeling though that we might end up saying something like 'never lost two consecutive games, played on a wednesday, when Lambert had weetabix for breakfast'?
We also lost our last game of pre-season Last year and then our opening champ game against Watford. This is going to get to the point where people are going on about how we have never lost 2 in a row at Carrow Road on a sunny day when the Away teams were both wearing purple. Ridiculous. The only thing this shows is our bouncebackability. We wont play badly twice in a row. unfortunately in this league there are teams who can beat us even when we play well....
I think the two league games in a row rule should apply here....Friendly games and cups don t count . Lets hope we can come away from the bridge with more than just a red card
