Any chance of 5 Premier Clubs in the QF?
From what I've seen in the first couple of nights, I think 3 are gonna be there.
We aren't playing great, but I still think we can beat Sevilla. Chelsea have it tough but they've a good record v Barca, so I wouldn't rule it out.

You're the **** who thinks everything equates to a trophy.
Just a a question for Shergar, if Utd get extremely lucky this season and win the CL, should it and would it be part of Utd's history and success considering they were sixth best in the league last season?
I've never said it shouldn't be part of our history if we where to ride our luck and fluke it.
I just wouldn't be claiming we where vintage winners of the trophy.

So, when we won it(deservedly in 05) it still counts as a tremendous victory against all the odds, much like when Utd(under Tommy Docherty) fluked an FA Cup win against us in 77.
It's all relevant due to your myopic man u bias.
It's not a question of wether it was deserving or not, though having said that considering you had a winning goal awarded that didn't cross the line in the semis, and a penalty awarded for blatant diving in the final, I'm sure many would say you didn't win it deservedly.
We weren't as good a side as you in 1977, everyone knows this, but in a one off game we pulled off a big upset. We played out of our skins that day, and we did ride our luck with the deflected winner, but it was still a huge win for us.
I'm not going around saying though that that 1977 FA Cup winning team where vintage winners of the trophy.
It doesn't mean you celebrate winning it any less though

You are completely missing my point, whether it was trophies won pre Premier League and pre Champions League or not you still reckon every trophy won by Utd was deserved and justified but other clubs were lucky, or fluked it, or stood in dogshit or aliens were involved.
Without even having to look it up, what I do know is that no team has won Europes top prize and finished 37 points off the pace in their own league.
But ofcourse you where the best side in Europe that year, and didn't get any luck on the way to winning it.
It must have been the quality of Kewell and Baros in attack, Finnan and Traore as fullbacks, and the legendary Carragher leading the backline

I would be celebrating like there was no tomorrow if we managed to pull off a minor miracle and win it this year, I would still know that our current side is knowhere near as good as our team in 99 or 08.
Just out of curiosity, do you genuinely believe your team in 05 was as good as our team in 99 and 08?
I know it's a tough call, Rooney and Ronaldo, or Kewell and Baros

I don't claim our 05 team was as good as Utd's or any other team of the same era, but I do claim they were as good as Milan on the night and deserved their victory after the biggest fightback ever in the competition in either of its guises, but of course you think we fluked it.
