The walk along the Water of Leith was nice. Took in the Stokbridge Farmer's Market then went for a hot chocolate at Hotel Chocolat. Popped into Wittards for some tea and coffee then into John Lewis to buy a new pair of reading glasses.

Jumped on a bus to go home and, bam, two hours later we got home. Forgot about the ****ing rugby!

Away to watch a film <ok>

Didny know John Lewis did specs.

Aye. Sunglasses too. Found a really cool pair. Saw the price tag. £455. **** that.

Ah spent a fortune on specs last year.

Prescription specs (Hackett)
Reading specs (Ray Ban)
Prescription sun specs (Ray Ban)

How did he save you 2 grand?

Didn't have to buy a new one
Oh right. You really are a dafty mick. You had an airlock in your boiler. All you had to do was purge the system let the water through. It's turning a screw ffs. Instead you sat huddled round a candle for 3 days trying to keep warm and the fork out 100 Euros for a 30 Euro job. I bet it was the gas engineer that told you he just saved you 2 grand :emoticon-0136-giggl

Could i suggest you look into insurance for your heating system. For a small monthly outlay you will get piece of mind knowing if anything goes wrong an engineer will be round in jig time saving your Missus nips from frostbite. And in the event that something really goes wrong with your boiler they will replace it and really save you 2 grand.

Less your monthly payments of course.

Yer welcome.

Listen,it's an old boiler Potterton and any time I've had plumbers in the house they always say you should change that boiler,it's ancient or it's gonna go etc The fella yesterday said if gas valve was gone I was in trouble and this time I was thinking it's has it's day but I'll get another winter out of it and if cost €100 I'm happy with that rather than having to get a new one.<cheers>
