3 of the next 4 at home minimum 10 points and we are in control.

Hope Lallana picks up form as we need him in these games against Westham Newkie and Watford.

Yep. In a way I’m glad we were playing Saints. Like Souness said they want to think themselves as a playing side. And within 5 minutes they were vulnerable to a counter and to a mistake by their defenders. Maybe Pellegreno felt under pressure because of the Newcastle and Huddersfield results to go for a win especially at home. But most bottom sides coming to Anfield will be more pragmatic and Park the bus.

Good game but couldn't help but notice Elon Musk seemed to be possessing our players in front of goal... Either Musk or someone else that likes launching things into orbit.

don't get this not celebrating when you score against an ex team thing these days with the exception of a player who was longstanding at the previous club.

I have to say Matip was very annoying at the risks he takes.

    Robertson was awful under crosses

karius was decent though. he made one or two good saves and only ****ed up one time.

midfield was all over the place til Southampton gave up... they came out after ht and that second goal and it was night and day and we didn't change did we?

I must say firmino deserved motm more than salah as he was the only lfc player who looked bothered all game.

salah for first goal was class and played ok.

vvd was very solid. very hard to manage the others so imo he could have played great and a decent side would have got 2 that first half off stupidity around him..

    slowly improve eh?

8 more wins. next 2 are winnable with rivals playing each other... keep the progress go in.

    8 more wins? I thought it’s only 6 ...? (Assuming 4 draws and 1 loss)

Matip is very annoying. Far too many mistakes in his game.

However, he and VVD are our playmakers from deep. None of our midfielders would have played it into Salah for the second goal.

VVD didn’t have much to do today - but he dealt with everything with such ease. Especially considering the reception he was expecting, he was so calm.

Now imagine buying a similar calibre player in midfield (in addition to Keita).

    Lads lol...

I spent a day (without golf die to horizontal snow)... with an entire bar of mancs...nit just my mates.... they all crawled out thinking today would be a good day.

Not going to comment on that match.

But ours? Hey were we great? No. Did they have chances? Yes

But seriously thus is exactly the kind of day we'd **** up. We didn't so wooohooo.... with a ****e midfield we did alright.

What I mean is I don't go into a match negative but with that midfield I don't go in thinking we are the best since slices bread.

    Unusually we did a job
    ....m great!

Oh and I'm pissed and laughed long and loud and a lot of feckers today lol
