No offence to those that have passed and have done really well clearly, but to those who have done GCSE's in the past, does it not seem that many are coming out with A*, As. It will probably be another record breaking year at this rate but everyone I have spoke to is coming out with sensational grades. What's going on?

If only you'd answered every question with Tiote; you'd have had another A*

They were pretty easy when I did mine six years ago, and I still got pretty average grades <laugh>. One of my questions on my maths test was to write something like "twenty two thousand four hundred and sixty eight" as numbers <laugh>. I've never felt like such a ****ing idiot in all my life.

It's the same every year though. I mean I came out A*s and A's except in three subjects, which were Maths and English Lang and Lit. Plus the only reason why I didnt get an A in Maths is that I missed an exam after breaking my arm.

Exactly the same with me. Walked GCSEs, thought A-levels would be piss and royally messed up! Still got into uni though (even with my terrible grades), and now i've got a doctorate!

Lesson to take away: even if it looks bad on paper - if you want something enough there is *always* more than one route to get to it. So if you don't get all the grades you expected / wanted don't freak about about it. It isn't the end of your life!

If I had revised more and dwelled on how we might get Gervinho less, I might have got 4a*s :(

The important thing to remember is that no-one had to cut their appendages off.
