Nope, I said the opposite. I said they had to.Sounds like you're blaming the club for letting him go

Yup, pretty much what I said, but In this market, I was gutted we didn’t push for more. 12m for Pritchard is very cheap in this market. Done now though.Pritchard came to us instead of Brighton and soon regretted it. It didn't work out the way he wanted it to and then he wanted out. IMO, he was never really committed to City. He's moved on to Huddersfield now and, 'strangely', has only featured in two matches so far. Time will tell how it will go for him, but I'm quite pleased with getting McLean, Hernandez and Leitner in exchange for Pritchard, with money left for the summer as well. Every club has successes and failures with transfers, but to me Pritchard's transfer was a success.
Whilst I agree re how much we got for Pritchard, there didn't appear to be any other clubs trying to sign him, so in some ways, we may have been lucky to get as much as we did!!Yup, pretty much what I said, but In this market, I was gutted we didn’t push for more. 12m for Pritchard is very cheap in this market. Not in this market. In my opinion.Whilst I agree re how much we got for Pritchard, there didn't appear to be any other clubs trying to sign him, so in some ways, we may have been lucky to get as much as we did!!

While true, I still feel they could have delayed a decision for a week or two and hope another club showed interest and put in counter-bids.In ANY market, any commodity is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it!

But as Webber alluded to in his interview yesterday, selling early enabled the club to land the three targets who they'd already identified and tracked. Viva the Lambert way!!![]()
No figures mentioned anywhere in this article?I see the club have said a fee of £30M will be needed to land JM in the summer

This is the reason why SW / DF are a good fit for our club.
The interview basically eludes to selling Maddisson in the Summer when the season is fresh rather than risk doing a Pritchard and possibly being back in the Championship next season. This is the reason why SW / DF are a good fit for our club.
Do you think Leitner will join on a permanent?I agree. Putting the emphasis on youth and up and coming players, as well as opportunities like Leitner and Trybull is a very positive mix for the future.

It's all very well getting 20 or £30m but if you don't adequately replace the exceptional talent , and realistically there aren't many players as good as him about then the books look healthy but the team is severely weakened.
Madders has dug us out of a hole most games this season and I fear to think where we would be without him.
