A small estate?
#If you have a polo, and like VW, dont they do a golf estate?
yeah been thinking about that just wondered if anyone had
a) tried present VAG auto & their views on it as in my 7 year old Polo its smooth but really badly geared i.e. can find yourself in 7th gear doing 55mph on a slip road <doh>
b) any alternatives

@Chief do you not get a car allowance with work? I assumed you lot all drove round in Warriors and Barbarians.

I'm using a work van atm, it's great. Vauxhall Combo 1.6... absolute monstrosity to look at but there's no fancy bits in it, just that stop/start but I turn that off.

One of our PM's has a Barbarian.

I like them, dunno what I'd ever put in the back like.

Always see them as a works manager type vehicle but, yeah the tailgate etc. is ultimately pointless for me as well.

I need boot space but it needs to be locked up, not open air.

That's what I usually do, but they also let me use pool cars and vans atm as well so winner.

I intend to use the allowance to actually own the car. Probably pay it off in three years then upgrade.

Not fussed on the idea if leasing, you don't own the ****er.
