I was hoping they’d give it to McClaren, just for the ****s n giggles.

1. We hate deli diving as well, you are right, he needs to cut that out.

2. According to your keeper he only clipped him with his shoulder, so yes there was contact. A soft penalty but by the letter of the law, your keeper impeded him so it is a penalty. However, I wish that referees would give penalties to players who remain on their feet, then forwards would not have to go to ground as if they had been shot, when there is minimal contact. I would have felt hard done by if that penalty had been given against Spurs.
i saw a perfect example flash past my eyes of SSN yesterday but can't remember who (thought it was Burke of WBA) but can't find a clip .
Player runs into box defender clearly clips him but he stumbles on & never gets full control of ball back & ref just waves play on <doh>
Until the refs start giving Pens without players having to go to ground you will always have players going down easily / diving.

If Alli is going to make a career of diving (and a lot of good players do), then he has got to get better at it.

I’m sure he will improve, to such a point that not even VAR will be able to catch him out.

Let’s face it, the lad does have talent, so I think we can expect him to eventually get his angles covered.

COYS!!

unfortunately for him it will still catch his petulant kicking of other players .

**** him. What about his team mates and us? I spoke to a few people before the Madrid away game who were happy that he wasn't able to play because he'd probably get himself sent off.

We should have made the UEFA Final last season but he make the most ridiculous tackle/assault that you can think of. About 70,000 fans paid to watch that [me included]. We were going to win that game until he lost his head. It's got to the point where we missed out on a clear, stonewall penalty against United because it was a tackle on him and the ref doubted it. That temper and mentality will eventually cost us something bigger. I'll bet Juve have him marked down for 'special attention'.

It's time for Mauricio Pochettino to yank the lad's chain and re-establish some discipline.

Winks earlier this season was clearly fouled in the box and didn't go down and we didn't get the penalty.

It's a day with a 'y' in it, so there's another Chelsea fans racism story, this time as a result of anti-semitic chanting at Watford....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42968778

Could it be David Baddiel as the offended Jewish Chelsea supporter? <laugh> No, obviously not. He only finds our fight back offensive. Real hatred is ok with Dave.

My favourite bit is from the club statement....

"Anyone found guilty of anti-Semitic language or behaviour will face action from the club, including bans, and will be asked to attend equality education courses."

Steady on, boys. Don't overdo it, now.

Either it's 1 April or I'm tripping.......

This from the BBC Website...............

Around 100 home fans ran onto the pitch after a 1-0 win for the League One relegation strugglers booked a fifth round tie with either Newport or Tottenham.

They goaded Harris and his players and then made for the 351 Millwall fans, who thankfully remained in their seats.

"I thought the Rochdale fans were a disgrace at the end," said Harris.

"As Millwall manager, I am not going to complain about fan bases. But the way it was managed at the end, the way our fans were goaded, wasn't quite right.

<laugh>
Poor Millwall, given a right good goading.

i posted on one of your threads last season that soon refs would end up never giving him anything and that i think has come to pass with any benefit of the doubt going to the opponent .

mind you considering the standard of reffing these days it could be the ref just rolls a dice* in his pocket to make the decision .

For their supporters, attending "education" courses
is the equivalent of a life prison sentence for the
rest of us.

Cherie Blair + Michael Mansfield may wanna get on
the case there.
