Not sure what else he could have done tbh. Lamela knew exactly what he was doing by stepping across him (as per Polls picture). If it's for you, it's clever play and a stonewall penalty, if it's against you, it's not.
The first one is the one I detest in football. Kane had no intention of anything other than a flop over the keeper (I'm not picking on Kane in particular, happens most weeks in a game). Justice when he missed for me.
From that angle it's a clear kick, even looks purposeful.
From other angles I'm sure you've seen van dykes leg was already in motion to clear the ball as lamela comes into play and in my honest opinion van dyke doesn't see him coming in for the ball and kicks him, it's a penalty same as that would be a foul but for me there's no intention from vvd there to kick lamlea.
