I need a few of them beasties to scare off the pigeons in my tiny garden.
On the Superb Owl I only lasted until 7 minutes of actual play had elapsed, though they had been on the pitch over half an hour by then. So I missed the half time show, which I have just sped through on YouTube. I didn't know that Serena Williams did a Beyoncé tribute act.

There's plenty of them in Eastenders, their mating call is "Rickaaaaayyy" or "sorted"...
I have no idea. But probably slim pickings 5 minutes walk from a town centre. I'm thinking of paying a Leicester fan to sit in the garden with one of those clapper things.
Ah. Sparrow hawks often venture into gardens (even in Town), although they usually like to be quite close to open ground for a quick get away.
If you ever find a circle of pigeon feathers on the ground and no evidence of any bird, you've probably been visited by a Sparrow hawk.
Pigeons are quite a pest in Town gardens. I don't know of any effective deterants to be honest. Perhaps you should train a couple of Harris Hawks to guard the garden.

Apparently the best sightings of the owl this year are predicted to be in Minnesota next weekend.
I think I did another thread last year that featured that epic final between The Patriots and The Falcons. I'll see if I can find it and merge them.
Think I lasted until about half time on that one, when to bed confident that it was all over and the Falcons had walked it.
I did the same and watched the game the following morning. I see that the Eagles smashed the Vikings to set up the final v the Patriots.
That’s a bit of a shame as the Vikings would have had home advantage against the Patriots, which might have made a difference. I think the Eagles lost their first pick quarter back to injury towards the end of the regular season, and their isn’t much confidence in the back up bloke (mind you, I think the Vikings were on their 3rd choice QB by the play offs). Difficult to bet against Brady.
It’s a great game, but the way it is organised (which looks similar to most American team sports) is dodgy. I was asking friends last week, what happens if one conference is just stronger than the other, the response was - well, one is (the one with the Patriots in I think) and it means you don’t get the best teams necessarily even in the play offs, let alone the final. And I hate the draft system*, I’ve seen Colts fans pissed off because they won a game, which dented their chances of finishing bottom and getting first pick in the draft. A real perverse incentive.
*or rather I hate the way it works, the idea of weaker teams picking up better players who would otherwise always go to richer/winning teams is good for competitiveness. And I suppose that over several years of getting good picks it’s turned the Jaguars from a basket case into a top side.
Given that I fell asleep before midnight during the preview programme last night, and am about to consume a lot of beef and am already well into a bottle of red, I am doubting that I will get to see much of the fabled Owl tonight.

I'll be watching till I fall asleep. Rooting for Philadelphia, who may just have a better shot than the odds suggest.

After last year even if the Eagles are 50-0 up when I turn in I won’t be assuming that they have won. Hope they do though.
Yeah, but it's an occasion isn't it? As a sport, it's not as good as any of ours and is unwatchable live, but it's bearable on TV. My local was much busier than usual today with people wanting to watch the rugby. Maybe people are getting bored with the Premier League.
