im sure sunderland hold the record for highest average crowds, back when it was div3. might break it next season
Wouldn't surprise me. City had big crowds down there too, IIRC. Portsmouth's average is higher than 8 of the Serie A clubs, quite amusingly. Bradford's is higher than 10 of them. The top 6 sides in the Championship all have higher averages than all but the top 5 sides in Italy. Sunderland have more fans turn up than Lazio. 3rd in Serie A, won their Europa League group, play in a 70,000 capacity stadium in the capital and most highly populated region of Italy. 20 places lower in a lower division, out of both cups and with a smaller stadium in an area with a fraction of the population. Tickets probably cost more, too!
Indeed. We averaged more though On a serious note would be embarrassing for both of us if Bournemouth are flying the flag next season.
Used to love it when we had sell outs in league one and due to certain teams playing away or Sunday would have the 4th/5th highest attendance on a Saturday.
Championship and League One all merged in my head but considering how appalling we have always been away our record at St Mary’s is excellent.
True... Don't ever remember you lot in league one tbh. We did beat you at St Marys the day my son was born though
This week on smk's bitch report. This week we see an unnamed spurs fan bitching about bent refs and those pesky elite clubs.. Again Shocking scenes Jonathan Moss.... we`ve no chance! It will be hard enough at Klanfield what with Gifted Penalty and Benefit Ofdoubt lining up for the home team, combining that with Moss refusing to give us decisions because the media highlighted that Dele Alli once dived, and we will do very well to avoid defeat.
I think it’s extremely well written and highly informative. It’s high time that the disgraceful giveaway decisions that are gifted to you mousers at Anfield was exposed for the scandal that it is! So there, ya mong!
