Also nobody seems to have mentioned that women have sexual appetites too. They also like to look at men and fantasise about them. Women also like to feel sexy and wear sexy clothes. It's not all done simply for male pleasure.

This is all normal and ordinary healthy sexual behaviour. Some women like other women and some men like other men. Some like both men and women.

Some Jewish orthodox sects state for women to dress "modestly" .
That does not mean covering face/hair, wearing a soul-less black
    tent, no facial make-up etc

They have succeeded in preventing woman having the choice to work in this role.

They are so thick they can't even see they're regressing equality.

They're basically aiming to get rid of modelling which is a perfectly fine and legal career.

Isn't that just another form of discrimination and repression ?

Personally I'd say that's more repressive of women's rights than allowing them the freedom to dress how they like and work in professions that sexualise them

Well the men don't dress like Borat in his mankini etc,
so you could say that there is equality in this aspect.

There isn't though. Women are told what to wear by men to quell their own sexual desires. It's repression of the like we had in England in Victorian times.

Although behind the scene, the Victorians were kinky ****ers

how is quelling mens sexual desires repression?
Women can choose whether or not to do this **** you know....if I looked like a supermodel and could make the same or more money that I do now standing in a bikini and get wolf whistled at, I would do it in a heart beat.
I can respect a woman, and also want to **** her brains out.
It depends if you act appropriately or not.
And last time I checked, Victorian women were not paid £40k pa to dress in doilies.

I mean ffs in france they were on about introducing fines and penalties for ****ing wolf whistling at women.
When governments start telling people what they can and cannot say and think, you start falling into Fascist territory.

And men dressing modestly quells the sexual desires
in women (assuming the desire is equally strong in both
    genders) ??

The only view of the Grid Girls the VAST majority of paying fans get is on the Big screens around the Circuit , it's for the TV audiences mainly , and the Paddock Club / corporate people .

Exact same apparently for grand Tour cycling races.

A few seconds in sight of the general public at the
beginning/end of a stage, and hours doing out of
sight corporate stuff in between. Assuming the
"out of sight" stuff is not akin to that London charity
event the other week, is the complaint over those
    few seconds ??

No coincidence at all. They are bitter and twisted that men only pay them any attention after they've had 10 pints.

That's such a muddled comment Bod, I don't think you've understood or read what I was saying.

I'm saying that the Jewish and Muslim community (not exclusively) are repressing women, by making them dress in a way that quells men's sexual desires. It also quells women's sexual desires too. Women can't 'choose' what to wear in those communities as they are labelled as whores and sometimes even physically assaulted if they dress in a way that is considered to be 'promiscuous'

That to me is more repressive than telling women that they can't wear sexy clothes or work as F1 grid girls etc.

its okay lads, i've got this. We should go and get Theresa to insist that everyone is dressed in a hijab so that there is no sexiness discrimination to anyone

This is the point I'm making that Bod has misunderstood. It's more repressive to try and stop women from dressing is a sexualised way (as long as they are consenting) than it is to tell them that they cannot dress in a sexualised way. The logical conclusion of this thinking is women covered from head to toe so that they don't accidentally 'arose' men.

Yeah i misinterpreted the first part of your post, my bad.

And yes, in some of the more old school Muslim communities women are still forcefully married off to relatives, beaten when they dont obey, or murdered for going out with English lads...
If they are worried about the objectification of women, why dont they focus more on **** like that, rather than grid girls <doh>

This is about fat ugly lesbian feminists, and not the merits of religious dresswear.
