Many journalists on Twitter saying that Russian clubs are notoriously hard to deal with regardless of transfer fee.
£130m average including merit payments, facility fees, etc wouldn't be a jump (we made £127.6m last year. and the average wasn't drastically lower). If that £130m is the equally shared funds, though, egads.
The player is currently in Malaga {warm weather training camp} so getting to Marchwood for his pics(!) is quite do-able. Just the 'tranfer package / terms' to finalise and get the deal 'over the line'....?? Exciting 24 hours or so, don't you think.
Those pesky Russians Offer them £25m and 50,000 litres of vodka and a years free access to MI5 intranet
Russians in general are not known to be soft touches in negotiations, heh. Throw in that Spartak's owner is an oil billionaire who just appeared on the Russian oligarchs list and we're probably not going to successfully nickle and dime them.
Les Reed went to Russia, A pacy Winger to be bought Then he checked his wallet It was 5 million euros short!
They have all the vodka and internet access they need. A Rolls Royce for the Spartak chairman, & a box next to the Queen's at Royal Ascot should do it. Maybe throw in a handful of Centre Court tickets for Wimbledon.
i doubt whether Mahrez would join saints Manhrez would probably rather stay put than join saints Maybe Saints could join Mahrez tho?
Nah, just theorising. I'm not actually sweating too much about this one but I'm pretty excited all the same. Will be a lovely addition to our squad.
I'm not upset that we're 'only' bidding 25m on a player. I said that's how much we would pay for a player in the transfer thread at the start of the window. I'm just annoyed we've left it until 1 day before the window closes to make a bid that would obviously be rejected. I'm hoping that's 25m +add on s because I cant see that bid jumping 5m in a day and I don't think we have the time to do a deal on an alternative unless this was a 'we might as well try' bid and we have almost completed signing the back up. I will be very annoyed if we don't sign a pacy player this window as i think that is what pellegrino really wants.
With how negotiations work and the time it takes to get into the press, this rejected bid may be from earlier In the week. Im still hopeful that it'll get done. Wonder if we will see a Jeremy Wilson article tonight?
**** Jeremy Wilson, tonight I want to see him in a Saints shirt, new watch and an interview telling us he will **** off to Liverpool in two seasons time...
Have a bad feeling someone else will come in with the €30m and we will miss out over a few million. Just get this done please!
