Mane & Salah would make runs knowing Coutinho would find them or exploit the space, they now seem to want to get on the ball deeper as they know we can't find their runs.
I would love someone to time both.var and the West Brom injuries and tell us if 4 mins was half the actual time awarded as extra.
to be honest it's always been that way. They tend to add **** all injury time in the first half no matter how many goals or time wasting has been going on and tend to add more in the injury time of the second half. Does my goat in. I would rather they just stopped the clock everytime the ball is stopped dead
Most games see six second half subs. That's 3mins before even considering injuries or goals scored.
Used to be against the idea of having a stop-start click like rugby do but I now think it would be better. It would stop some of the feigning injury and late subs nonsense too.

There would still be some faking to kill off momentum and rest a bit
of course.. sitting on the pitch pretending to have ripped your hamstring until the ref stops the game then hobbling off and stringing back on.
Refs should immediately give yellow card for that or better still if they need to go off have 5 min compulsory treatment in a designated area beside 4th official.
yeah but most teams hold the last sub til injury time to time waste or cover gk issue etc.
so its actually only 2 subs each
the main issues i see are:
a) GKs holding ball for 30 seconds everytime they get it in their hands
b) goal kicks taking 30 seconds to a minute. There's 4/5 GKs infamous for it
c) subs walk/fake run form far side of pitch over to subs clapping fans and shaking hand with refs etc to time waste.
d) throw ins taking 30 seconds to take... minimum as a guy crabs up the line or two guys touch it before the ball actually gets to hands
For me theres more like 10/15 mins of a game half gone on this ****e rather than subs.
I think the refs just don't stop watch and they go right. 5 yellows... that covers me in the discipline review as well 2mins for yellow. Right.. how many goals 3.. right another 1minute for celebrations. add on 2 subs a piece and that gives me a safe 4 or 5 if game is tight.
I really don't think they give a damn what time really should be added on as they indulge all the time wasting.
Look at mourinho teams.
he drills them to
a) stand over the ball at any free
b) kick ball away if whistle is to be blown.
c) make sure ball goes well out of play for throws, into crowd... never will anyone touch the ball or give it back to a rival team if it comes near them. Including bench/subs etc.
d) his strategy at start of game is to have the likely sub offs to be playing on the far side of pitch so they can walk off slowly and get a minute off the game clock.
Every little effort is made to prevent as many chances as possible... and if his side happens to score a goal sometime great.
I would do have the ref miked so we can ALL hear everything and he has to say time off to stop clock. then he's directly accountbale and has to actually ref the game for time wasting.
Right now all they do is blow a whistle at random times and avoid controversy.

I think you're giving them far too much credit here. I doubt they even think about it bar a long injury stoppage. I think their thought process would be "as there been a small, normal or large amount of stoppages" before stocking an imaginary wet finger in the wind!
Things that happen in injury time should still be added too.
Couldn't be arsed to read the rest [HASHTAG]#intentionallongpost[/HASHTAG]

Take your point here, but I do think we score enough goals to win more points than we're currently getting. Our defending is what's letting us down. We're never going to win every game, but reducing the goals conceded by even say 25% would probably be enough to get us another half dozen points in the season.Fair points but I guess I'll have to narrow it down... we only know one way of playing; pacey and direct, usually straight dien the middle. That's why teams are parking the bus, we can't cross, we've got no one to get on the end of a cross and now we've got no one that can either hit one from 30yrds or pick the lock of a tight defence.

I'd kick the ****s back, and often didWould love to see that implemented, sick to death of seeing grown men screaming in agony and staying down because someone left a leg out - have they ever heard themselves!?
Have a bit of self respect for **** sake, I used to get the **** kicked out of me as a small nippy striker but would never let anyone of them know if it actually hurt!

Pathetic isn't it?Would love to see that implemented, sick to death of seeing grown men screaming in agony and staying down because someone left a leg out - have they ever heard themselves!?

Diving, pretending to be hurt etc are all considered legitimate arts and are being coached to kids and condoned by the "he felt contact so he's entitled to go down" brigade.
It's embarrassing.
