At the end of the day it looks like both of those decisions are correct so VAR has added value there. Didn't think the ref was supposed to go over and see it himself though?

Think it's a definite pen, but with fouls it takes so much longer to evaluate than offsides and the like. A 30-second pause to get the decision right is good; if we're talking multiple 3-4 minute pauses, it really breaks up the flow, and it's still going to be subjective.
