UK laws mean they cannot get a permit easily. As UK is currently in the common market and signed up to free movement a guy can get enough time in Europe and qualify by back door. It was Sebastian leto who went to Greece . Never got going. We sold him. Allan has pissd about Europe. hes shown very little to bother with tbh. I think he needs another year to qualify. Then this new bloke. It's a bit of a joke
Not really any point in it. They're not going to get any better playing for ****e clubs in Europe so never going to break into the international team to get a permit and are being coached by average coaches so won't improve to the point they can get a permit on 'outstanding talent' so...why bother? Klopp really likes Allan, but he'll never be able to play for him in the UK.
The only way to really get it to work is to own a club in a gateway country to control the coaching and player game.time. for me we are looking at average enough lads who might just be decent for very little money and hoping.
Liverpool may have been handed a significant transfer boost with the news that Juventus seem less sure they can do a deal to sign contract rebel Emre Can. In fact, the Italian giants’ general manager Beppe Marotta has even suggested the Germany international could end up signing a new deal to remain at Anfield. After losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona this January, Liverpool needed some better news and may now have genuine hope of keeping hold of Can despite recent speculation to the contrary.
Exactly. Keeping Can or not is a bit meh tbh. He's good but we need better. Not fussed if he stays or goes. Especially if him staying means Klopp won't buy another midfielder.
All we can hope is that the game on Monday has proven to Klopp and the powers that be that we need a creative midfielder as soon as possible.
I think the Swansea game showed that we need that bit of magic from midfield which we have now lost. Not just skillful tricky players but someone who can smash the door down from range like Gerrard, Berger, Suarez, Couts and the like did. Sometimes you need more than just skillful players.
Yeah, I think personally you need a bit more faith but also organisation. 1. Salah. He started the game and up to baout 60mins stay running in behind. this stretches the defense. At the very least this should continue even if no ball is coming. He got in once and chose to lash it rather than take it down. 2. Ox. why the hell was he so narrow? First half we had zero threat out of gomez. ZERO. he should have pulled wide right and stretched swansea. God knows he wasn't needed almost in a CF spot. 3. Wijnaldum. first half he was clearly told hes the attacking CM. does this mean run ten yards in front of the ball and back pass? no... it means get on the ****ing thing and make something happen so you stay with play. You make LATE runs as ACM into the box when its wide. 4. Mane. why in ****ing gods name did he run away from robertson every time the lad got the ball. The better run was wide left opening that channel for a pass. Every time robertson just back passed. Its like he came in first crossing everything (too much) and has been coached to not deliver from wide now unless its really close. 5. Firmino. he failed to really get on the ball at all. perhaps he shoudl have beentold to drop right off into CM when ings came on. 6. Gomez. why even pick him? after 30mins imo ox should have been driven wide and then just sub him off after 60mins. it was an error to start him in this game. 7. shooting. 4 shots on target. INCLUDING free from salah and easy shot from ox. the rest blazed. some from utter rubbish positions or where a corss was better. We seriously need to address this instruction from klopp to "shoot more" hsott form good positions not just anywhere. Overall this game was not like the west brom game IMO where we just didn't play well. IMO this game was a team who could not score at all up against a big side and when a lucky break got them a goal they absolutely packed the defence. HOWEVER we had no faith in our system and we disintegrated. The late chance came as a direct result of VVD being thrown up top and winning a knock down... again. we threw a CB up top and won a knock down... thats is. our game plan and team work shattered. Thats the first times its happened IMO since very early in season.
Liverpool have entered talks to sign Gremio forward Luan, 24. The Brazil international has a £16m release clause in his contract. (Yahoo Sport)
Liverpool have an agreement in place with Thomas Lemar to join the club having courted the France winger for much of last year, but have refused to meet AS Monaco’s asking price of at least €100m. This guy is just throwing these lines about for free! You’re going to break the internet, man! I mean, I suppose it makes sense, doesn’t it? Liverpool have an agreement with the player having followed him for a long time- and this is kind of how football works now- but if they’re never going to match the fee, it’s not much use, is it? I can see Monaco selling in the summer. ^^^^ Taken from the Echo earlier today. Just trying to liven this thread up a bit
right so we've an agreement but no agreement? what a pointless article. Imagine having that job. no wonder they are all alcoholics. We've a deal with lemar... illegal as hell if so but no deal with monaco who think every club is psg now. OR someone made the whole thing up.
