He wasn't pissed enough to be a risk...

    Ok answer this...

    2 mates.

1 goes out for a meal has a few beers and gets nicked on the way home.

1 rings you and says he got pissed and smashed his wife up.

    Who is the bigger ****?

Don't let your flanno love cloud your judgement. <ok>

Jurgen Klopp explains reluctance to spend Philippe Coutinho money in January

Jurgen Klopp has explained why he is reluctant to replace Philippe Coutinho in January, with the Liverpool manager looking for in-house solutions.

Coutinho joined Barcelona training for the first time on Saturday, applauded onto the pitch by the likes of Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto and Lionel Messi.

At Melwood, Klopp was overseeing preparations for Liverpool’s clash away to Swansea City on Monday night, buoyed by a 4-3 victory over Man City in their first game since the No. 10 left.

Despite that comprehensive attacking display against the champions-elect, there remain calls for Klopp to spend big in the winter window to fill the void left by Coutinho.

But speaking ahead of his side’s trip to the Liberty Stadium, Klopp stressed that Liverpool would not sign a replacement for the sake of it.

“I don’t think about money. Nobody told me that I have to think about money because we are always reasonable, we always try to do the right thing,” he said.

“Obviously we don’t hesitate to spend the money, we did a few times, but it is not about the moment, it is about making the right decision.

“If anything obviously right would be there in the window then nobody would not do it and we say, OK, let’s go for it.

“But it is not about doing something to cool the situation down or show the people we don’t sleep.

“It is only about right or wrong and at this moment in this situation it is right.”

Imo there's people who wait for the right moment and people who make things happen for themselves

I'm sure you'd feel different if someone was only just over the limit but hit and killed a relative of yours on their way home. Doesn't matter that Firmino didn't, he took the risk still.

And this is coming from someone that ****ing hates (yes hates, I rarely use that word) blokes hitting women!!!

PS... I've experienced both previously too! No, I wasn't involved in either.

Of course I would. But let's be honest generally people that kill people are way over the limit. After a couple of beers you're not exactly incapable of driving.

They're both ****ing stupid but I don't think the comparison some are making is fair.

To me...theres a big difference between going out for a meal and having a couple of beers and beating your missus up.

Anyway they should both know better.

Sacking Flanno* would obviously be the right thing to do, same goes for any player. Problem is, its setting a precedent that club club are willing to honour. There is no way they'd be willing to sack a player like Firmino who is probably worth £60m+ on the balance sheet.

    * I wouldn't care, he's had his time and he's out of contact in the summer anyway. He's pissed his career up the wall

I heard it on the radio last week and to be fair. Kudos to the kid for investing in a house where most probably he’ll be living in with his family, rather than spending it on a Ferrari.

Look... it's better than pissing it up.

Prob a mortgage involved somewhere but easy to pay.

But it just shows how stupid it has gone.

This is a bit like the old Krays argument, and 'They only murdered other gangsters. They're not as bad as *****philes'. Except that Ronnie Kray was both.

Not really a valid comparison. To make it a bit closer I'll assume the driver is over the limit. One is being a **** by being a risk to others. Inconsiderate as possible cause of an accident and even death. The other has already committed the bad deed and battered the woman. In terms of worse **** it surely must be the wife batterer.

In terms of consequences, yes. Except for when the dd loses control and smashes into a bus stop.

Yep. One is taking risk with others safety whilst the other is causing actual damage to an individual. So the punishment reflects this: one gets a driving ban and other gets a custodial sentence.
