QPR and Newcastle are due to meet in a Premier League game at Loftus Road on 12 September.

    Tasty.

I see this deal coming off, but im definitely surprised about the fact its QPR :S

Oh well, i guess id rather him go to a team i wasnt worried about playing and dont think will stay up rather than a top/mid team and have him get one over on us each season...

Simple one for me this. He will leave unless the club change their stance on wanting him to go. If they are unwilling to change their viewpoint, Pardew is going to lose a player he wants to keep. Nobody can seriously expect that seeing out his final year is a likely scenario? Why would he when he can secure his footballing future now? Its just not how football works. It was maybe possible while still under contract because he'd have had the carrot of a big pay day bosman move. He has that option now this year. I think he'd be a fool not to take them up on it personally. The only other way is if the calibre of club does not come in for him but he'll be sought after come deadline day.

Its very simple for me, I expect Barton to go if the club continue to tell him he's not wanted. Quite how you hold Barton not being offered a contract against Barton, is beyond me. (when you bear in mind his indiscretions came after club chose to not offer him one)

    There's no chance now

QPR's offer is a 'massive' one, I'm told. Matches or betters current #NUFC contract.

    Bye Joey.

Just lies from Joey, he has lost respect from plenty of Nufc fans if it is true.

These are same people who blame Carroll and Nolan for leaving, even though they were also pushed out the door but just not in such public viewing.

They just don't get how it works mate.

QPR though <laugh> if Willie's phone was ringing off the hook who the hell was on the other end? If this goes through I wonder what those people who said they 'wouldn't begrudge him Champions League football but know that he wants nothing more than to stay loyal to NUFC fans' would have to say then? Clearly he could stay until the end of the season if he cared so much about loyalty to the fans.

Such a shame if he goes. Why bother with all the lying and the "I wont leave"s if you'll go to the first team to make an offer. Lost a lot of respect for Joey if it goes through.

In what way were they 'pushed out the door'?
Carroll had just signed a new contract a few months earlier, then asked for a new one - Which he was rightly refused, so he put in a transfer request.
Nolan was offered a new contract, and he refused it. I don't know if he'd put in a formal transfer request or not, but either way neither of them were 'pushed out the door'.

Guys like you are so blind that you think everything must be evil Mike Ashley's fault. Yeah, he's done a lot of things badly, but he's not always to blame for everything. Pull your head out of your arse.

As much as I want Barton to stay it's not looking good. He's expecting a bairn soon so probably wants a bit of stability and QPR are willing to give him it and we are not. I really enjoy watching him play because he always gives 100% and is very talented, lets just hope the Krancjar stories are true.
