A side fighting for Promotion thinks he will be one of the signings to get them over the line. Yet we do t think he can improve us. Baffling.

Another case if us selling good players on the cheap, and bringing in bottom of the barrel replacements, which are still over inflated for the quality of the player. Woeful.

Norwich City F.C. "Never knowingly undersold" <doh>

And for that reason. We haven’t taken them for enough. Losing Alex will really damage our team. I don’t think Maddison can keep this team up on his own, and if we gets injured or sold. We are screwed.
I think that's the view of everyone on here. I wonder if SW/DF will see any the money to reinvest - I'm NOT holding my breath on that one!!!!
JM is the most fouled player in the Championship and as you say, if he gets injured we're going to start slipping down the league VERY rapidly. <yikes>

In one of the articles I read earlier in the week, the decision to buy OR SELL players is taken jointly between SW and DF and as you rightly point out 1950 it has ZILCH to do with 'twinkletoes Ed' or any of his other cronies on the board (sorry KIO!!). I would also imagine that if funds are needed to buy a player, then that would mostly only go as far as SS.
I would say that any of the teams from Huddersfield are in danger of relegation, so I'm in TOTAL agreement with your last sentence 1950.
Edit - I was very impressed with the interchange of play between AP and JM on Saturday and that same combination has certainly resulted in several goals since AP has returned from injury.

You and 1950 seem to be under the impression that I'm unaware that SW and DF are (allegedly) solely responsible for player ins and outs. My gripe is with that knobhead Balls, why the feck come out and say we're under no pressure to sell then one week into the transfer window sell off one of the remaining crown jewels?? All it does is p1ss the fans off as per usual <grr>

Edit:- In today's market Pritchard is worth far more than £14M (if it is £14M which I doubt) IMO <ok>

The key players won’t be replaced.

If we sign that Jones, he’s a replacement for no one.

I get the feeling that it's AP driving the move and I'm NOT defending Balls etc, but we all know it's all about 'player power' nowadays. SADLY.

You're forgetting that STAR striker from DULWICH HAMLET!!! <rofl>

And so on. Wouldn’t be surprised if both come in for about 1.5M and go out on loan this window.

We are going to see Vrancic as Pritchard’s replacement arn’t we :emoticon-0106-cryin<doh>

It would appear that some of you are confusing the statement "we are not under pressure to sell" with the statement "we will not sell"

It's fairly obvious to me that AP wanted to try his luck in the Premiership, if we had held him back it would have been risking his strength to the team, therefore when the offer was what we were looking for the deal was agreed.

It’s gutting when the deal they were looking for is below his worth. To us and them, and compared to the market.

I also think that Pritchard pressed for the move and the deal was done because it is good business for the club. I still think it will be around £12m+£2m in the end which is what the majority of fans wanted in the Pink'un poll. The key thing now is how we use the money for the next stage of restructuring.

I guess it's something to do with not looking desperate to sell, so you get the best price you can. Personally I don't see why we're selling Pritchard, I'd rather keep him until the end of the season. but we're have to see what SW / DF do with the money before making a judgement. What was Balls supposed to do when asked, I think fans would be even more p1ssed off he came out and said "we need to sell a player(s) just to balance the books ".

I don't think this is a good move for Pritchard, but history shows he's not good making decision about transfers. Sky are saying it's 10m plus 2 m add ons. Pinkun poll was nonsense concluding that most fan were happy with 12m. The result was 44% were happy with 12 to 15m & 40% were happy with 15m plus. So to say majority fans were happy with 12m is misleading.

Notwithstanding the fee wil be 'undisclosed' I still think in the current market Pritchard is worth more than the rumoured fee stated. We sold Murphy for £12M after all and Pritchard is twice the player he is IMO <ok>

Also I can't for the life of me believe that AP would 'force a move' to Huddersfield FFS, a more established Prem side perhaps, but not to a side that will probably be relegated this season.

Well I think, given his injury record and the number of games he has played for us, a £6 M profit in 18 months is a reasonable amount of money.
That is a point, but I think the market and spending has changed enough to make a 6m profit for a player like him to be poor. I can’t believe they couldn’t push for more, and turn it down if they don’t budge. I think plenty of other teams would be interested. Sides like WBA and Stoke who can’t score and create goals.

True plus I very much doubt it will be a £6m 'profit' anyway.
Some will be upfront, some later, based on appearances and presumably Hudders ability to stay up this season? It's never a question of " we paid £Xm and sold him for £Ym so we've made..."
