Remember, though, there are more people who misuse grammar than those who use it correctly, meaning the utilisation of common usage/vernacular as an argumentative tool is stochastic at best, ostensive at worst.

With regard to the original sentence, I would have worded it as follows: 'Says the guy who has a weird fixation with me.' Or, preferably, 'Says the guy who is weirdly fixated on me.'

I normally charge £75 per hour for such input, so let us focus instead on our favourite curries.
