Off Topic Mark Steels in Town - Hull Edition

Anyone else listen? He's in his 8th Series of visiting various towns and devoting a 30 minute show poking fun at their various peccadilloes and idiosyncrasies.

He had plenty to work with in Hull.....he covers everything from Patties to Dead Bod to the worlds only submarium....

I found it quite funny.

But although he's usually good on accents, he didn't get Ull right.

There's no 'the' in that announcement.

It was really funny
The radio version was cut down (the walking on road bit for example) but still really good

When we listened to it the other night she kept saying she could hear me laughing in the crowd! I think she was right actually

You're right, it is weird but it's also legit. Mark Steel won't have made it up and it was commonplace in my wider family.

I've also heard the saying hard on too.
