That, I suspect, is our lot for January.

Mavididi is a decent young player, no doubt about that.
I really hope he stays fit this time, but the way we are picking up injuries this season it's like God tapping our Gaffer on the shoulder.

Karl, when the Almighty starts strumming your squad's hamstrings and ligaments like George Formby breaking in a new ukulele, it's probably time to ease up on the Messianic stuff about giving Charlton fans their DNA back.

For all his talents he hasn't scored a lot of goals....Is this it, or is there any danger in us signing a goalscorer??

I think we will sign four players in this transfer window, probably all on loan.
Will any of them be a proven goalscorer? Very doubtful.

And I suspect we will sell at least three prominent players from our current squad.

Phew! That's an adequate replacement for the prolific Dodoo. Glad he's going to be keeping our bench warm.

I think that is it for our signings.

We got that 'DNA back' speech all because of a surprise draw at Wigan, when defeat followed a few days later he's trotting out his usual excuses.

It won't say a lot for the clout of our new owners If the takeover doesn't happen before this window closes, and if things remain the same it will be more band-aid signings and player sales.

It is looking doubtful now that there will be a quick conclusion.
I was very hopeful that we were only days away from an announcement until I read the staggering revelation about RD not even knowing he would be obliged to pay all the ex-directors their money back until his gold pen was almost on the dotted line.

Now I'm nearly resigned to the takeover being finally thrashed out maybe some time in March or April. Far too late for a revival of our fading promotion hopes.
More sales and more dross it shall be then, until the summer methinks.
But summer will arrive eventually. Nobody knows exactly how long it may yet thrash aimlessly around in its own mess, but the days of Duchatelet's regime are numbered.

I’m pleased with the signing he looked quality last season.
He has only played a handful of games maybe he will start scoring and ignite our season.
Looked quality in league 1 whilst with us.
