5.10 NEWCASTLE- BLUE DE VEGA- 6/1

was heavily backed for his stable debut including when I was on him and went down by a neck so I’m looking to recoup some of that today and again the money has come for him don’t forget he was placed in the Irish 2000 Gns and altho this is about 3f shorter than that the trainer does tremendously well with these types and sprinters so the horse must be showing stuff at home to send him over he minimum trip

Interesting to see that events at Cheltenham racecourse yesterday make pages 1 and 4 in today’s ‘Western Daily Press’. However, it has done so without mentioning one word re yesterdays’ actual racing! Page 1 has half its content given over to a picture of the lovely, and I do mean lovely, Carol Vorderman (who was in attendance) and page 4 is about the saddle monkey who failed a breathalyser test. Uninitiated readers could be forgiven for thinking no actual horse racing took place.

Most eyecatching performance over the Christmas and New Year period?!? For me Maria's Benefit in winning the Listed Mares Hurdle at Taunton. Cor blimey she looks some mare to my eye and one to undoubtedly follow. Most noteworthy comment. Lieutenant Henderson, the forum's favourite Lieutenant, appeared on our screens on 27th December with rosy cheeks, eyes that would barely open and a head that he seemingly didn't want to move one inch. 'We had a great celebration last evening', he informed his public, 'But the horses pulled out better than I did this morning!' Lieutenant Henderson, I salute you!

3.45 Ayr- THEPENSIONFUND- 10/1

Yard does well with bumper Horses especially up here, looks one of the most intriguing runners on breeding and just felt he was a little to big at 10/1 and is worthy of a small ew bet to keep the afternoon going

Its one of those annoying bumpers where you couldn't confidently pin your colours to any of them. Idee de Garde is the right fav for me with the pedigree and yard form in bumpers at the track. On a winning day I might be tempted to throw some away on an EW on Stans Black Five who has a nice pedigree but comes from a yard who are poor in this sphere.

Small win on Hangar in the last at Ayr.

Virtual bets any of my posts today, I've not been to bookies and still not using online account.

If that is what i'm in for for the rest of today's racing, then it would be best to avoid these...
