I think its based on the logarithmic scale like you say. 6-7 seems to be like 10x the movie quality.
Yeah I suppose that's close, some less cynical may go 6-7 covering 80% but that's just down to the individual.
Stop getting all mental about it and just start using my scoring system y'****ers!

I agree, some are good and some are dull as ****, overhyped programme.
I only watch the highly rated ones as they're stand alone episodes. Some are brilliantly bizarre though.
