Two I like today:

3.00 Newbury Mulcahys Hill - relished these conditions at Ffos Las where he hurdled very, very fluently and is overpriced in what is a poor Challow.
3.15 Taunton If You Say Run - had little more than an exercise canter in winning at Wincanton on Boxing Day and is turned out again quickly for this valuable prize.

Best of luck everyone <ok>

so Poetic Rythym doesn't tickle your fancy in the Challow oddy?

Have backed a few today:

In the Challow hurdle have backed Dame Rose at 3/1. Gets the mares 7lb allowance and will relish conditions. Whether she will stay the trip is a big question but big chance she will. Think she could be quite special and if one of the others can beat her giving her 7lbs then fair play to them. I do see Mulcahys Hill running a big race simply cause of the dire conditions and he s been 3 miles. (see below)

Haydock 2.10pm Streets of Promise 10/1 each way. On a mark below last winning one and the horse enjoys heavy conditions. Will stay the trip and has a big chance. Sorry Stick..but good luck with your runner today..

Have put the following in a small multiple bet for fun and considering McCains current form and the dire conditions for the Challow:

Haydock 2.10 pm Whiskey Chaser
Haydock 2.45pm Federici
Challow: Mulcahys Hill

Good luck all..

Donald McCain's last 6 runners at Haydock netted him 4 winners, a 2nd and last place finish. Always to be respected when he turns out runners at this track.

Afternoon all - just getting ready to go to the Vic to see a tedious 0-0 draw between Watford and Swansea!

Just the one for me today. Grand Vision Newbury 2-25. Acts well on heavy ground, and won earlier this month and at 12s looks worth a punt. Good luck all especially Stick and Jenny!
