Good luck with your mare Stick. That ground will be awful. Most in the field have form on it though. Last gelding or mare standing? Hope it's yours.

Having had another look through that 2.10 field at Haydock the Venetia horse Emperors Choice is the only one in the field with winning form on Ffos Las heavy ground and at tomorrow's trip too. I understand that heavy going at this Welsh venue is whole new level of gloop when compared to other UK courses. Therefore I confidentially predict if your mare can finish in front of EC it should win <laugh>

I hope this an omen Chan but I have backed them both already! You have nailed my danger!

Always struck me as cig for the sophisticated FP. Probably clever marketing.

... and a would-be "too cool for school" young Reebs! They came in a paper carton, rather than the more common cardboard ones - you could (and I did) tear open a small square at the top, then flick one out tapping the base. And impressing no one probably!

Yeah my mums always thought she was better than the Dublin gutter she was born in.

More sad news with Rebecca Curtis reporting that her stable star Irish Cavalier lost his battle back from injury today. He secured wins at both Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals plus a Charlie Hall Chase. RIP to a fav of mine. Tough game NH horse racing.

I once sat on a table next to Ronnie wood in Ronnie scotts and he was smoking dunhill international and I thought it was really cool so started smoking them. While on the subject , Robert de Niro has to be the coolest smoker ever. When smoking was cool.

On a brighter note ol Nicky has been awarded some sort of gong by Her Maj in the New Years honours. Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. To be honest had to google this particular gong as I'd never heard of it before. Bunting will be adorning Chuckle Towers no doubt throughout January.
