I think it'd be good all round.

he wants world cup.

if he stays fit he could fetch 10mil of some lunatic after the WC.

I'd take 5mil loan fee off them and laugh.

Yeah, I'm just looking for a bit of payback tbf, can't blame their fans getting pissed off with us but in this case I think their owners have got a cheek, they've just banked the VVD money and should be told to make an offer to buy him or **** off.:emoticon-0100-smile

If they are willing to pony 25mil they can have him but realistically if they give us 5mil for a world class player on a 6 month loan I'd be... well <laugh>

i don't blame their fans getting pissed of either however considering the vitriol it turned into i would like us to screw them over even if only big loan fee with no injury return clause - then laugh long & hard when Studge limps off 27 mins into his Southampton debut.

Getting pissed off about their club continuously selling their best players is understandable.

Getting pissed off at Liverpool for paying way over the odds for them? Nah, not having that. That's like saying we're pissed off at Saints for selling them to us!

Remember they've sold their best players to Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd in recent years too!

I'm happy when we sell players to clubs like Real or Barca. Why? Because it means we've had a quality player playing for us for a few years! Give me a Suarez or Coutinho over a Bslotelli or Studge every single day of the week!

Of course, but a fee of £10-15m is nothing these days. Look how much Bournemouth spent on Ibe. People can take the risk on Sturridge for that sort of fee and realise a year later that it was a mistake.

Its a gamble some lower ranked PL teams would take. Goals win games and staying in the Gravy League is priority
 
Barcelona and Liverpool have scheduled crucial transfer talks over Philippe Coutinho for the start of January as the Catalan club try to wrap up a deal quickly, according to reports. The Liga leaders trailed Coutinho for much of the summer, with the Brazilian desperate to fill the void left by Neymar, though Liverpool refused to sell their star man. He has been in exceptional form since returning to the side this season, and Spanish newspaper Sport claim Barca are finally nearing an agreement for a January transfer.
