Yeah, I like Gray. He’s developing into a very good player. It’s one of my bitches about the England setup. We have some fine young English players atm. They should be put together, kept together and could easily develop into a top int’l side. Yes, they’d probably get their arses spanked a few times along the way, but so did Clive Woodward’s WC winning rugby side.
I’ve always been pro young players getting a chance. That’s why I’m pleased we are following that route (Gray, Ndidi, Chilwell, Maguire) and others pushing from the academy. I reckon Gray will be in with a shout of the World Cup squad if he keeps up his form. Other country’s have an advantage where sometimes a lot of their players play together at club level (Germany and Bayern). A lot of the Spanish traditionally when they won 3 in a row played for Real or Barce. The closest we had to that was your 5 in the euros and let’s face it, after the end to the season, they just had their confidence shot which was a shame from England’s point of view
You'd not be alone ... but it won't be happening ... not saying we wouldn't sell either if someone comes in with silly money (that's life) ... but we no longer have to sell to balance the books and, if anything, the owners appear to want to build ... would take very silly money indeed ... United or Liverpool possibly at some point ...
Everton are rumoured to be interested. What about Spurs ? You could do with another wide player. I think he’d go there and probably improve under pooch.
I'd like him at Spurs....think he would improve and we need an out and out wing wizard...plus competition for the front 4
Yep you’ve got kane, song, llorente who’s the 4th ? None of those players are really wide players. Think Zaha would be a good addition to your squad, but he’d come with a hefty price tag.
That’s bollocks, they had more shots on target than you for a start. They were unlucky not to win that game
And that represents good value for your 150m investment? Everton's lack of genuine width will result in them buying a winger, I can see them going the transfer window without one then splurging another 50 odd million on deadline day.
Who said it did? It merely removes the need for any ‘panic’ whatsoever. We’ve got Vlasic, Bolasie, Lennon and Mirallas for the wing positions btw.
68% possession to 32% 12 shots at goal to their 11 2 shots on target to their 3 10 corners to their 9 I don't know how the **** that equates to unlucky. Did you watch the game? That game stinks of them parking the bus, us huffing and puffing and them getting their opportunities on the break. Only one team deserved to win and they did.
So you won the passing? As the other stats are virtually the same All the pundits concluded you were lucky that day, stop being a tit
And you think they're good enough? Not sure why you've got your knickers in a twist over it. Everton simply don't have good enough attacking players for the amount they've spent.
How does that make me a tit? They had two banks of 4...they were getting us on the break. We were camped in their half. The dynamics of the game suggests that there was one team playing to win and the other was hoping for a draw with the hope of catching us on the break with their pacey wingers. What do you think we were doing with 7/10ths of the possession?
Lamela's been out for over a year so **** knows what you're on about. What was his last game for us before the lengthy lay off? How has he played since he came back? You another poster who reads Match magazine for your know how
