Football world has always been crazy but it borderline to obscene now.
My wife was watching a weird programme over Christmas about rich folks spending ridiculous amounts of money on gifts. The next programme was a programme on children who were to old to get adopted. The world is sick and my team just contributed to it - no moral high ground here :(
Same with actors, you have mountain rescuse crews, lifeboats going out risking their lives day in day out and then someone who kicks a ball.
What's worse is some footbllers dont even love their job they were just born naturally blessed.

Fees have got that bad that I think I'll just go back to yesteryear and not give a **** about transfer fees again. As biscan said, it's not our money!
 
Let’s see how our defence does now. If we still can’t put games away after scoring a few goals then it’s a waste of a lot of money. Considering our scoring record against our defence, if he is to live up to his price tag then it will be money well spent. Here’s hoping. <ok>

If we leave him hopelessly exposed like we do the others, the difference will be marginal.

You'd think with the top five defenders transfers bring English clubs, some English would be able to defend!

you are totally right its not our money but surely some organisation has to step in and say hang on a minute
There are people dying everywhere and chunks of this kind of money could be better spent Or the money stays in the game
So no huge wedges going to agents, they get paid and paid handsomely but more of that money goes to the grass roots of the country/ies involved. And if its really obscene then a percentage goes to a charity.
I dont know just a bit depressed.
Want my cake and to eat it, i want us fighting at the top table but i want us to be morally just too and take the high road by developing the talent not spending that kind of sick money on one person.
Not that i will do anything, i will pay my sky bill i will goto the games, i will buy the latest kit for the kids, i am as bad :(

Mate, I know exactly where you ate coming from but I have a very simple attitude to these things; there is ****all I can do about it so why stress about it? It is what it is, just get on with it.

Lot of money but city are running away with the leave and spent 150m on 3 defenders.

Pep recognised that forwards were all good and he needed some players that when they did get attacked could deal with it 1v1. Improve you’re weak areas, Klopp obv thought he could coach the current crop but you can’t coach concentration and composure which is what our current lot miss.
 
I see Paulinho has now jumped in to talk about coutinho and give him advice... Barca already been reported by Atletico for tapping up Griezman. Getting boring hearing all the Barca players bang on about him now.
