I know it might be an extortionate amount of money, but in this day and age, players in high demand will naturally cost anything upward of £50m+. It's ridiculous and obscene, but it is the nature of the market. Plus, if we're being honest, top quality centre-halves are a rarity these days. Regardless of price, Van Dijk is an exceptional defender that has all the attributes you would want in a centre-half. Will he solve all your defensive woes straight away? Probably not. But it is a step in the right direction IMO. I'd definitely take him and I know many top clubs will be gutted to be missing out on him. Just my perspective as an Arsenal fan.
