Southampton are resigned to selling Virgil van Dijk next month and will seek to raise £70 million by setting up an auction between Manchester City and Liverpool *Paul Joyce*
Liverpool and Man City should communicate and agree what fee to offer. Let the player choose his own destination rather than letting Saints continue to be unreasonable arseholes...
It's up to VVD as much as anybody - they can't sell him to City if he won't go: but if he won't go to City if they meet Soton's asking price, then he hasn't really a leg to stand on regarding his transfer request.
Jurgen Klopp can turn an average player to a good one, good one to a better one, better one to world class.Under Brendan Rodgers never knew Firmino is that good.
Barcelona are planning to move for Mesut Özil in January, as their deal to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool is on the rocks, as things stand. That’s according to Marca via Express, who claim Barca manager Ernesto Valverde will move for Özil as a cheaper alternative, considering his contract will expire at the end of the season. The Catalan club’s interest in Coutinho was widely publicised over the summer. At the time, the media published these same rumours that Barcelona could turn to Özil instead.

Apparently City have refused to bid as they think he is overpriced, if City think that then we are being screwed at £75m.
If this and lemur (spelling) actually happens it's got to be that coutinho will be off jan time. But saints aren't playing their asset incase of injury yet we still are playing coutinho. Unless owners will give it until summer to sell coutinho first and see how far that team could get. Shame city are too far ahead. Probably bollocks though.
75mil.... pooohk off. maybe it's some internet no mark hoping to make a name and getting it put first.
Can’t find where I posted that Utd with Pogba started the craziness (and is probably going to end up looking a snip - that said so will mane and Salah ) then city and PSG We can include us now if this 75 is true !!!!

The Netherlands international had been expected to join the Reds last summer after he handed in a transfer request. But a move fell through when Liverpool apologised for making an alleged illegal approach for the player. The fee would be the most ever paid for a defender - Manchester City paid £52m for Benjamin Mendy last summer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42496637
