Are you in favour of a fan boycot, as this is the only way i can see that fans can put pressure on the owner.

I don't blame anyone for not going, damn sight better than paying money turning up only to misdirect the anger and frustration. I think strong message of Coleman in and Short out is needed. We need to stop turning on managers, every time we do that Short can say we got what we wanted. We mask Short's failings at every opportunity. It has to stop.

We seem more effective, at least energy wise, with the youngsters in the team. Introduce Beadling Maja and Asoro from the start with a more experienced bench. Why have an academy as these youngsters have done it at their level so if they ain't good enough for premiership or championship - jettison for some other team to reap the benefits.

We don't have a lazy squad this year imo, despite the many accusations of it. Lots of youngsters giving their all, it's great. The squad lacks quality and depth not effort or quality manager. Short needs to address the playing squad with funding.

I agree I think it has been a problem in the past but not recently.

Agree not lazy just too many in key positions are older slower and past their best. Agree Coleman will get it, sorted I just think we have youngsters who could pull us around. We do need some championship experience among them though. I hope Short does release the funds as imo we would plummet if we went down to Div1.

I'm not writing us off. I think we'll stay up. But it's the same gamble Short was taking in the Prem, eventually after the 6th relegation battle luck ran out. This time we probably won't be let off the hook 6 times. So it's not beyond an impossibility that it can happen first time this time.

Heyo all been away for a little while. I think you'll stay up I really do, my concern was that I initially thought you'd position yourselves to come back better next season and I now wonder why I thought that. I cannot imagine Coleman having come to just sit in the Championship, I think he must have been convinced you'd invest and push for the Premiership next year. January is huge for the short term and the long term; I've lost any kind of belief that Short is going to invest any amount and suspect N'Dong and Kone are going and there's quite a few whose contracts are (i believe) running out soon - Mika, Billy Jones, O'Shea, Wilson, Darron Gibson, Ethan Robson. The positive (and it is a big one) is the money that should free up, I'm just not sure what Short would allow with it.

I just beat you into the ground mate, started going regularly in 1950's at a time when we had never been relegated, and as you so rightly say we are at rock bottom, but we have I think been here once before and we hit the third tier running, we may have to do this again before it gets any better, recently re-watched Jermain Jenus old interview in which he more or less spells it out, and he may well be right on the button, hope not of course but its going to be close.

You will remember the Man U cup tie when more people were locked out than were inside the ground, also the Spurs draw at Roker Park the year they won the double, Danny Blanchflower the Irish captain said the Roker Roar was frightening in its intensity

We're still paying transfer fees for players we don't own anymore. Any kind of budget for transfers is out of the question. There'll be no lump sum to work with. Best we can hope for is creating room on the wage budget which mean more loans and freebies. We won't build anything with that as sure as Short won't put his hands in his pocket. They're no money, there hasn't been for ages as it requires Short's personal finance.

Merry Xmas Bri and All, I was there today and its as bad as I've seen. (1st game 1970) , I'm afraid it was like watching the team who dropped to the old Division 3, we had nothing and were blown away by a very average team. Heads dropped so so poor. Honeyman and Gooch are out of there depth at this level. They aren't the answer. Too light weight .
Have a great New Year everyone on here.

Hang on. We all know that I'm just a dirty skunk and an idiot, but at the start of the season (when they beat you) I was told that they (sheff utd) were **** ...
3-0 and 6 points does not seem close to me like.

Was at the Spurs and Arsenal games same season, both fantastic, locked out of the Man U replay like thousands more, the streets and back lanes were crammed right up to the Cambridge good half an hour before kick off, never seen anything like it before or since. We were in the old second division then and these teams were the creme de la creme full of top internationals of the day, reminds me of another cup run a while later in which we went one further. <ok> .
The Roker Roar was a truly amazing unforgettable sound, frightening and thrilling at the same time, never been surpassed anywhere imo.

We do, we do, but that does not stop us from being courteous to strangers, <laugh>.
I watched a few of your games last season, on the box of course, and formed an impression that we would do much better than we have at this level, the quality is patchy and the games are very competitive, but there is not as much difference between the teams at the top and bottom as there is in the premiership. Nevertheless we are struggling badly for all the reasons that have often been aired on here , but I think/hope we will be OK at the end of the season, as I hope you will be also. Although I know this is not a universal sentiment on this board, a home a win tonight, would not upset me one iota, so good luck mate, from me at least. <laugh>.
