Not sure if anyone has mentioned him as a possible replacement for Carroll. Only 25 and gets goals for a Wigan side that aren't exactly overflowing with creative flair. I'd like to see him play for us. If Wigan go down we'd get him for about £8/9 million, if they stay up I think they'd let him go for c. £10/12 million as he's given them a few good seasons. I think he is a player we could realistically get. I've seen the likes of Bojan, Llorente, Cavani etc banded about but we won't be going for those. They would command high transfer fees, would probably go to a top 6 PL club and wouldn't fit in with the wage structure.

actuelly wigan are going down this season so 6m could be a possibility

I say 8m at tops.. especially if Wigan get relegated.. if not then maybe offer 10m at best.

Quality striker but not sure he's our answer.. he's not exactly prolific but he can play as a winger if needed, wouldn't demand big wages & could fit right in with our Spanish speaking superstars!

If we got him for £10 million it'd be a good bit of business. If he had better service than he gets at Wigan then he'd get more goals. He's versatile and I reckon would fit in well to our set up. He'd cost similar to what Bendtnar would cost and there's no question as to who I'd prefer.
