Chelsea have Alvaro Morata back for today’s game so hoping for a resounding win against new boys Brighton who have only managed two goals from their last six games.

Chelsea’s disappointing result at Everton where we had 25 shots on goal without registering a single goal, our worst since 2014. I expect Conte to go with Fabregas at the expense of Pedro with the rest of the team unchanged.

Hopefully Morata starts so we at least have a target up there. Cesc with Kante and Baka/Drinkwater. 2-0 us.

I’ll go with 2-0 as well. I’ve just been reading the new Chelsea magazine that features Morata so I’m going for the two Chelsea goals to be scored by Morata.

Eden such a frustrating player. Over does everything needlessly.

Moses had to have done better with Fabs fantastic pass. Willian for Bakayoko anyone?

Haven't seen Cescy do what Dave does once this season.

Cescy cannot do that from playing further up.

But if he plays from our half we will concede.

Pull Cescy now to save CS

Give it a break Stan, you’re like a stuck record. Fabs playing really well.

Never thought Eden will be poor performer when Cescy was on pitch. Sub par Eden.

    Good pull Tony

Fabregas given MOM, with Alonso a close 2nd.
We woke up 2nd half but despite Moratas' goal, we sure make hard work of finding the net. Despite Hazards brilliance, watching us play is so frustrating as nothing we do is direct. we seem to **** about for ages in front of goal and the opponents pack the area. Oh for a big strong go-straight-at-goal player.
That said, another win and 2 points catch up on Utd. Bright 2nd half, but still struggling to score.

Exactly how i saw it 20 passes and no final ball we break with speed and then pass back to midfield but at least we got the 3 points

I told Stan that Fabregas was playing well when he started with the #4 nonesense but for me Alonso was the joint winner as they both perform well time after time. Dave’s diagonal ball for the first goal is starting to become a trademark but not used often enough. For me Willian gives us more urgency and directness and would have preferred him over Bakayoko yesterday.

Next up Stoke, last Christmas was a 4-2 cracker against them and I saw the game from your Shed End. Like Brighton, I reckon they’ll be difficult to break down as they often put out a team of bin men against us.

Finishing #2 with this group of players is as good as last season's #1 place.

I will take that over CL final appearance.

Big battle still to be had with Utd, don't lose interest. Hopefully come january we might get some players in we should have had last summer. if we get the right midfielder and striker, we can monster Utd as that is what we have needed for 3 years. What we don't need is more wingers or defenders. It's midfield and upfront we are as weak as piss, why can't Maria Knowfuckallski see beyond the chequebook?

Provided we get the right midfielder who do you see out of our current accompaniment being surplus?

We need a left wing back in January to push Alonso and a new striker if we won't use Batshuayi.

Bakayoko is the one struggling but can't see him being surplus after we paid so much, will just take longer to settle. That Docoure at Watford though is everything we expected Bakayoko to be, big clubs will be after him soon.

Not sure about "surplus" but from where I sit Alex Sandro will hopefully replace Cahill, and Kenedy who should be Alonso rotation player right now, will soon be gone. Looks as if Luiz and Kenedy are 2 more Conte outcasts, and not for football reasons, so I think they might go, as will Willian who is too polite to say so, but seems to have had a bellyfull of Conte as well. Fabregas has another year in him, but is not a week to week proposition, so a reinforcement is needed there. Seems likely Bakayoko will remain, but he needs to come good by Xmas next year or out he goes. Wave goodbye to Michy for sure.
So by end of year I think we will lose, Luiz, Michy and Willian and possibly Cahill and Kenedy. There is always a chance that Courtois and Hazard will leave for Real/ PSG, but put that aside. Kenedy might be loaned out, but I think is likely to leave of his own accord.
Zouma can return to help out Christensen, and IF Sandro comes, we still look OK at the back with Rudiger in there with Dave.
Alonso needs a back up, midfield is desperate for a goer who can score, and we need a serious striker. That Roma midfielder with the tats and weird hair looks the type, just can't get the name, or Vidal.
January will be very interesting, but seasons' end looks fascinating with Conte in the mix to go as well.
    Never dull at Chelsea.
