Great game to watch last night for the neutral fan and it left me thinking if Liverpool had a centre back and a goalkeeper they’d have to be reckoned with.

Yeah we need a top class keeper and a CB that can organise. He doesn't even have to be the best CB... we just need someone to organise the other idiots. A Carragher is what we need. I think Gomez has an excellent future with Liverpool. I know he switched off for the Sanchez goal but that's to be expected and he'll learn. He set up the counter for Salah's goal tho. So it evens it out I guess. But he's definitely got the talent and desire to be a great defender. We've also missed Clyne all season which is a shame. Going forward we're on par with City et al. Just way off their level defensively. Good to watch week in week out though, even though at times furiously frustrating!
I seem to remember he was a top class keeper when Liverpool signed him. Playing behind their comedy defending has traumatised the poor bastard.
Agreed the defending is suicidal at times but I don't think migs was ever seen as a top class keeper, decent but not top class
He's kept several with us too? Not saying he's not a good keeper I'm saying he's not good enough for a team wanting to win things
One thing you can say for Liverpool and Arsenal - both great teams to watch with the ball, both poor bordering on useless without it. Which is why last night was always going to be a great game for the neutral to watch, and why neither side will win anything this season (though Arsenal do seem to flourish in the FA Cup). Cech and Mignolet must both wonder wtf they've done to deserve what happens in front of them sometimes.
A cup win is what both of us will be looking for, you can get away with a lot in a one off game. CL would be nice but I'll settle for the FA Cup.
