Just wondering what to do at the end of the year with this comp. Some random thoughts follow. All views appreciated

1. Bring this League to an end and start a 2018 League in the same format
2. As 1 but change format (see below)
3. Keep the League running until the first day of the flat, or some other specified date

Format Options for a new League
1. Keep the same format
2 Keep the same format but divide into smaller Leagues with promotions and relegations every month
2. Allocate (say) £100 every Saturday with freedom to stake on 1 or more selections, in single bets only, and let it run for 12 months

By default it will just continue in its current format
 
My tuppenceworth Ron ............. I somehow seem to have got a long way clear of the pack which might cause some to lose interest (a bit like the premier league) and would therefore suggest going to a monthly league, and crowning the champ at the end of each month. I think that would help retain interest over a longer period. Just a thought.

Yes it's always a problem when some clever ****er keeps banging in big priced winners <laugh>

I'd go for running it exactly like Cyc used to. Have a weekly winner and keep track of how many wins everyone has then have an overall winner after a year. If enough players have two leagues with promotion and relegation

There is already a weekly winner and an overall winner smokey. I show the progress on the latter; just a case of when it finishes.

As Oddy says, finish the current league on the last Saturday of this year and start another one with a monthly league - seems a good idea. I can do the overall year winner as well. More or less what I was intending to do with the Saturday TV Comp that this comp replaced

Every time I think about having divisions, I seem to go off the idea. Simple enough to do but unless individuals are playing each other, within the same division, I'm not sure it means much to have 2 divisions. Unless there is a deluge of comments in the next day or two (<laugh>), I'll finalise the format for the new year when I post the final League Table for 2017.

At present this is how it stands

1. A final League table for 2017 will be posted following the results on Dec 30th
2. A new 2018 League Table will commence on Saturday 6th Jan. There will be an overall Champion for 2018. On the last Saturday of each month a Table will be posted showing progress, with a final League Table posted on the last Saturday in 2018
3. There will also be monthly Champions. Each Saturday a Table will be posted showing progress during the month, with a final Monthly Table posted on the last Saturday of each month
3. There will also be weekly Champions. Each week a table will be posted showing the results for that week

The staking and all other Rules will remain unchanged

Afterthought. In the event of a tie (based on returns) the amount of profit will decide the winner. If the profits are also the same. I think I will go to naps only
